    Ask Admin

Sure Admin is increasingly busy and if you are waiting for him to answer you could be waiting a long time. I replied because I'm a nosy ex admin assistant an thought your post was pitched in a way unlikely to elicit sympathy I can't help with the lack of local gazebo action but I hope the event goes well (and you get the weather)
  2. Times out guide to london pubs "doing" the Eurovision thing http://bit.ly/11KfooA
  3. lane lover - I wouldn't be so harsh on the OP as it can be quite upsetting to lose that much cash so I'm taking any belligerence from them with a pinch of salt they have been posting intelligently enough on here for a while and deserve a bit more respect than that I am also uncomfortable with people saying what you should and shouldn't keep in the house - it's not far removed from tellng women what they can't wear for fear of being attacked
  4. "I've been robbed and without proof I'm going to name a company I think what dunnit" Yeah I'm sticking with, if not idiot, then ill judged It's with the "authorities" (not police, but authorities?) so if its as bang up as the OPsuggests, there will be proof and a conviction and then we can talk about the who Until then I would leave out the company name and stick with general warnings

You do know why there is a wanted section and a whats on section don't you? Appreciate you are doing something off your own back but you want something and you are organising something that's on. 136 views for the "gazebo wanted" thread in 2 days is rather different to your "2 and a half hits a week. " The whats on post has nearly 500 views - that is no small amount If I was admin I would find the tone of your post in here a bit pissy (no matter how much I support what you are doing)
  6. "But who is acting like judge and jury now?" noone?
  7. Being a victim of a crime is awful James, but it doesn?t make that person judge and jury People can be sympathetic to the plight of the OP but publically libelling someone on a forum isn?t on
  8. Yeah but the sun aren't going to publish pics of two chaps are they?
  9. What did the e dealer say that was racist or disgusting?
  10. if you are minded to cause aggro, knowing there are fewer staff on the premises is a bonus, no?
  11. I really don't see much wrong with any of that... saying he would return to London "one day" in no way targets Rogers. Chances are there will be several managers occupying that seat befire benitez returns. If he ever does The rest of it is just political jostling - it's not insulting or abusive
  12. Because a dignified response is preferable to a desperate one? because people remember players like Bergkamp and Pires missing out on cup final victories, and who were able to carry themselves with said dignity Because they are already disposed to Very Much Not Liking BJT, and this just proves their point
  13. @Mick Mac You may not have explicitly talked with reference to billionaires, but but "agreeing with City" that is ultimately what you are doing When you have bilionaires buying these clubs at the top, they all have the same tarfet but only one can achieve it - and that achievment is merited but various factors over a single season can contribute - injuries, ref decisions etc etc I'm agnostic about targets generally - in some areas they are a good thing but I think they have become abused by lazy modern management (see parking tickets or even some areas of medical treatment) But if you apply to be a manager at say, City, I don't think you need targets in your contract. You clearly have your own personal target of winning as much as possible. Your record will probably back that up. Writing targets into the contract doesn't really help anyone
  14. "but Benitez showed a lack of class not retracting/apologising for the slagging off he gave Chelsea fans when he was Liverpool manager..." You think so? I disagre. I thought what he showed was a maturity by not indulging the childish whims of the average football support (below average in CFC's case) who appear to have the feeling of a 12 year old boy. so he said, when Liverpool manager: "?Chelsea is a big club with fantastic players, every manager wants to coach a such a big team,? said the Spaniard. ?But I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what. For me there is only club in England, and that?s Liverpool.? and "?We don?t need to give away flags for our fans to wave ? our supporters are always there with their hearts, and that is all we need. It?s the passion of the fans that helps to win matches ? not flags." which, as manager of a team playing Chelsea you would expect him to say And for that he has received endless abuse from Chelsea supporters as he guided them to another European trophy - some of the abuse shameful To me, Benitez' class has appreciated 100% over the last 6 months
  15. Every billionaire "achievable target" is winning league and champions league Only one team can win each Therefore every year more and more managers wont reach their achievable targets. Fergie would have been set achievable targets 20 years ago and would have been sacked.
  16. God yeah. That too (re: Hughes)
  17. I think of all the people expressing opinions about Mancini, sympathy for him is there but limited Mostly people are expressing opions about City the club and how badly they are managing the multiple sackings. Football is eating itself
  18. what do you do with people who openly read it on the bus?
  19. Depending on what day/time you go I would agree with Laura If its peak time Friday maybe not but then again you are in trouble either way.
  20. Plus a fine fine actor No? Anyone? Escape to victory? Heathens
  21. Tsk. Premiership players... So selfish
  22. Bout now Surely Thierry Henry has to be in there. I never saw a whole stadium get to its feet like i did when he was on the ball. Magic
  23. I should have posted on the anniversary but just wanted to say I still miss Simon on here. I only met him once but not a week goes by when I don't think " this thread needs simonm to say something"
  24. Then they stopped selling tins
  25. Having lost the 78 final to Ipswich I could barely keep still for the 79 final 2 nil up at half time I vividly remember walking down to the beach for a breather an basking in likely glory Second half... 5 mins left. And then they scored two. I felt physically ill. Genuinely not metaphorically. Then Sunderland not only score the winner but visibly swore on TV. The release... Then we go and lose the next one in 1980. Can't remember who to
