  1. Is it sti likely to be a hotel du vin? Will be nice to have accomodation but decent food? Hmmm
  2. Are we in the presence of greatess? Or is your username just a tribute, aracuria?
  3. Are we in a court? In any normal workplace your previous warnings and misdemeanours would be taken into account Minimum ban for biting in rugby is 12 weeks. More of this please. Problem is they will give a smaller suspension for a worse misdemeanour fairly soon to undermine any good work
  4. With Suarez I get the impression it is cumulative / repeat offender reasoning
  5. "Whether on-topic or off-topic whatever I say or do is greeted with a less than positive or helpful response" reap. sow "I posed a very much on topic query about fresh pasties LOCALLY yesterday, and SJ simply suggested Cornwall." you asked where yo could get a good Cornish Pasty - not a generic pasty. I replied Cornwall because it was slightly amusing and because you appear to hold very firm convictions about where food should and shouldn't come from
  6. "?Because THEY ARE THE SAME THING YOU MUPPETS!!? is the unsubtle subtext " are you referring to that? because in case you didn't realise it was in quotes, a paraphrase and aimed at the likes of me, not you ""Spout lies and insinuations.."? That's somewhat overstated really now isn't it? I don't think the trend for street food will suffer much for my cynicism about its quality/price. I'm hardly Jay rayner but I don't think he's been sued too often for having an opinion about food! " It's not overstated - it's what you said - "some pies from manzies and some tin foil". You can criticise the pies, you don'thave to like them - THAT is an opinion on a local forum and is fine - but neither you nor Jay Rayner can say she is taking food from somewhere else and passing it off as her own unless you have proof
  7. yeah yeah you get to spout lies and insinuations and walk away or get over it opinions are not the same as facts. Sorry about that "Then all you > need is a Twitter account, some pies from Manze's > and a bit of tin foil and you're off.? " so is that your opinion? Would you be happy to be proved wrong and take responsibility for any loss of earnings from your slander? and where is my hypocritical name calling again?
  8. What bugs me most about edcam, Louisa and co is not the ?bants?, but the sheer level of ignorance and/or lies and misinformation Louisa is in complete knots over her own definitions of what is ?proper? food and what is ?poncy? The pizza example is just hilarious ? despite being demonstrably physically wrong (follow Louisa?s ?recipe? and see how close to pizza that gets you), she still uses it as an example of of pretentious, aspirational types will buy any old iron. And yet, and yet ? who IS buying pizza? It?ll be everyone from the unemployed up to super-rich footballers. Aspirational it ain?t And then edcam with his ho ho ho ? Then all you need is a Twitter account, some pies from Manze's and a bit of tin foil and you're off.? ?Because THEY ARE THE SAME THING YOU MUPPETS!!? is the unsubtle subtext Any customer can have a look and see the difference (feel free to prefer one over the other ? it realy doesn?t matter, what?s important is that you can see they aren?t the same thing at all) Are the pies on the van more expensive than Manzies in any case? All lies and misinformation simply to point fingers, guffaw and name call (side-effets being derailing a potentially interesting thread and allowing the notion that the EDF is for loony toons only to solidify)
  9. are we witnessing an actual breakdown?
  10. Lawks, don't talk to Louisa about the P word! her definition here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,26,246208#msg-246208
  11. This pitch sure is slippy.. I can see the goalposts moving from here
  12. I think HAL is having a major malfunction
  13. "SJ that's not entirely true as you well know. " I'm sorry - what's not true about what i said? The rest of your post goes on about something completely different
  14. I finished R-type 1 back in the day - just had a memory rush about what it was like being the first kid to complete a new game in the local arcade. Marvellous
  15. "will any of London's traditions survive? " the millenia old London tradition of being the world's melting pot, and evolving constantly will survive, don't you worry about that
  16. Spelunky (pc and xbox live) is a platformer that is both awesome and hard as fook too
  17. Bon3yard I finished the first Bioshock and have spent the years since trying to convince others to do the same or at least get to That Bit I am aware of much internet chatter about how awesome the ending to Infinite is and I WANT to experience it ? I just don?t want to wade through the umpteen arena fights between where I am and then. The combat is floaty because there is no sense of connection (compared to other FPS combat) ? I hated it in the first game too but the experience was new to me I?m also not a fan of the same old features ? vending machines, silver coins, clicking everything just in case it contains some tonic on and on? Otta ? both G&G games rock hard and genius. Rtype II I always found near impossible after level 2 But (to bang on AGAIN) about the best game of this generation ? try Dark Souls and see what hard really means
  18. I think I've given up on Bioshock:Infinite I just hate, nay loathe, the floaty combat. And as the game is sort of predicated on that? I?m done (and I?m very early on as well) The world is stunning and I wish I was able to explore it in a non-combat way. So whatever the big themes/reveals ahead I fear I will miss out
  19. It was you with the prefix Louisa (used to be known as Louisa)
  20. Fresh? Cornwall?
  21. strewth, I give up
  22. We've been through the whole isnlouisa trolling thing before. Clearly there is an element of it but it just so happens to coincide with her worldview anyway Either way it's as annoying now as it was 6 years ago when she trolls into a thread, marks out of ten or no
  23. You like to play cute when some people are on to you lou, but when you think your support is up, you play a bit harder dontcha?
  24. Oh fluffy cutesy Louisa "it could do with a tidy up around the station" You think a LOT more than that don't you? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,679580,680185#msg-680185
