  1. Today, to get me some extra time in bed (knowworrI'msayin) I decided to put on my socks, shoes and deoderant on the bus. Then I had a dry shave. Don't worry it was a roll on, I wasn't actually getting in anyone's way or spraying anything. i do hope this catches on
  2. I don't think the snow is the point of RH resurrecting the post. - It's the remembering *bob*'s... ach, never mind
  3. oh good shout, RH

Whit was sleepwalking a little but still pretty good A Song of Stone was pretty dreadful ? I would even say it was more SF than a ?normal? book but either way, poor. And another outing for the ?ooh this lovely lass and laddie have lots of sex only to find they were on the bus, I mean brother and sister all along The Business Dead Air Both struggling, but better than SoS to be sure The Steep Approach to Garbadale I liked a lot ? a bit Crow Road-lite but enjoyable for that Transition ? again more SF than normal possibly, and I can see why some don?t like it. I didn?t love it but I did enjoy it enough From the early period, Walking on Glass can do one as well. Nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is

only one I'd avoid is Canal Dream - from the middle of his Imperial period but inexplicably dull and pointless Complicty and Crow Road are the mid-period books I most enjoy. I'm a big fan of The Bridge as well. Espedair St is great for anyone who was or was involved with musicians I also strongly recommend his non-fiction book on whiskies - Raw Spirit
  6. I loved veep. Series 2 is imminent as well Basically an American Thick of It (same producers and some writers) but great characters. Almost completely unwatchable because of the high cringe factor mind..
  7. snap
  8. DJKQ Put the speedgun down for one moment and spend a bit of time crossing those junctions, and without the benefit of a speedgun, say those cars are travelling within a speed limit People are quite capable of hearing an engine speed, visually observing car motion and comparing it with other ?normal? car speeds. That doesn?t preclude some from overstating the objectove speed but it?s only stubborness to say there isn?t a speeding problem on some/many of the roads
  9. Sorry have no idea. But I'm close to 84 east dulwich grove if that helps
  10. With EE/orange/tmobile. Had some problems last month but getting solid speeds even in evenings now
  11. Louisa... As I've posted many times, people applying make up (or brushing teeth or cutting nails) bother me enormously But I wouldn't want you to take that position and align it with the general tenor of your posts on here. I have no idea if you think I am on your side on this one or not but having read the thread I feel it necessary to point out I'm not If someone wants to put on some mousturiser on a bus be my guest. It's the combination of "total make up regime" combined with the sulky attitude towards the driver for having the temerity to brake that bothers me so
  12. Bit harsh Jah. Looking like he was sacked rather than he walked
  13. Sorry workingmummy but the constant makeup v breast feeding comparison is grating One is entirely a nurturing, taking care of a less able being. The other is (just like kidkrugers teeth washing whilst leaving the house) an entirely avoidable act, predicated solely on the individuals whims. You can do it. It can be done. It doesn't mean it should be done The whole thread and its title (gross women? What an idiot) is poor. Women who do it aren't gross But men and women who do it show poor self awareness. Toenail clipping ahoy!!
  14. Several threads. You are just too lazy to be arsed malumbu
  15. Accidents happen But more often its people just not caring or giving a shit If not enough people give a shit, the who,e place becomes unreadable and a mess. Have a look at the message board on lordship lane.com if you want to see the end result You for example cfccfc2 have taken time out of your oh so busy life to say here here to someone else. This gives you little scope to claim any moral high ground To address minders point. People have been "new to the forum" for years. But without this incessant and increasing litter. People are well within their rights to say its out of order just as they are when a tidy town becomes covered in crisp packets and other litter from newcomers
  16. let's ask "socialnetball" as she has just posted in here..
  17. " but standing against your brother, the heir apparent is just wrong. " eh? Says who? When? Why? Has anyone got the text of his "getting on the pitch" comments?
  18. geek yes but looking outside doesn't help forecast, now does it
  19. "what does that say about Ed?" it says (for the umpteenth fliipin' time!) that ED has commercial property of a very small unit size
  20. is that countrywide or London/South tho? I have the next week in London as weather like this (but warmer by up to 3 degrees). Which is still blinkin' cold, but better than it has been
  21. joking aside - it's meant to be plenty of this over the weekend A quieter London (everyone else appears to be leaving for the weekend), some bright skies, some warm scarves, local parks = happy days
  22. "a strange feeling came over me. Was it... happiness? " * looks back over steveo's posting history * No Steve.. no. It wasn't happiness
  23. She up the Danny baker 5 live podcasts from sat mornings and play during the week
  24. very very nice - but forecasting quite different weather than my goto source, MeteoGroup (ETA - I see they aggregate various other data sources.) I'll keep an eye and see which turns out to be more accurate
