  1. Way to help a relaunching business ted. Spreading false prices
  2. yeah yeah and MrBen is someone who wears a dark suit and disappears into a magi... oh hang on..
  3. Feel like he's been around forever already he owns a food establishment? - and he names himself after tasteless processed product... hmmmm
  4. "My conservative guess is 10k takings per week for EDT," even if we take your fag-packet as accurate it isn't taking into account the cost of planning, designing and fitting out these rooms. And then ongoing maintenance and cleaning. Going to take more than a few weeks to pay that back
  5. baby steps means I wouldn't go from "taste" to "plateful" but if they went back for more and didn't eat it, regardless of size, then if it happened more thhan once, then as I say "I just wouldn't take them again and tell them why" but taking the food away wouldn't be my main concern
  6. quite liked this when I saw it today Venn Diagram of Irrational Nonsense http://crispian-jago.blogspot.nl/2013/03/the-venn-diagram-of-irrational-nonsense.html
  7. Huguenot may or may not have but I have many a time If I was going to take them to an all you can eat I would listen to what they SAIDF they wanted and given them a small sample - if they wanted more I would go back and get more. baby steps, Ted. baby steps If they didn't eat more than twice I just wouldn't take them again and tell them why
  8. In theory you have paid for an all you can eat so you could clear out the whole restaurant - you'd be quite the **** if you did tho Scaling back from that scenario and thinking "well i won't finish this but I can get another meal or two out of it" times another 10 customers doing the same? probably affecting not just that restaurater but others in the area too pay your ?6.95, eat as much as you can and leave - that's the sprit of the thing. If people abuse it resutaurants will stop doing it
  9. that score is intimidating rather than inspiring me right now! I've crept up to 23 seconds but hitting a wall (ahem)
  10. yeah it's a funny one the OS. Having moved grounds ourselves (and won nothing since) I'm used to peoplle carping about change in atmos, but in truth I struggle to see how we ever fitted in the old ground. So on balance I'm glad we did move I realise the West Ham thing is different - but at least the running track won't sit between fans and teh pitch on match days
  11. Stage #432 When you see an old, old thread resurrected and try and guess who resurrected it before clicking on the "new" link ( and I guessed correctly this time )
  12. Charmed
  13. But music means so much more to your younger self because it speaks of other places, times and people. The future is out there and you are off to discover it Now, you can barely find the time to cook for yourself in between keeping bairns happy along with work pressures and domestic chores (in your specific case, chores is too small a word for "the project" but the point stands) You know more than you did then. You can forget about all that on ocassion, but for much shorter spells. And that's all ok really. You still enjoy music more in your 40s than the previous generation did (generalisaton alert)
  14. I don't think music can mean as much to you in your 40s as it did 10, 20 or 30 years ago Nor has enough time elapsed to put newer releases in context. Just because you thought something was classic in your 20s doesn't make it so 20 years later Plus of course how we listen to music has changed - 20 years ago, you taped or bought a cassette of some albums and lugged them around with your walkman and played the F*** out of them the 6th word in your post says it all...
  15. EoTR is definitely... I would say gentle rather than tame. But either way it is definitely that - it set out to be, it largely is and I like that about it compared to other festies (haven't got anything against bigger festivals either btw, but having something different is a good thing) Bit of an exageration on the wristband front as well, it isn't really that big a deal is it? I agree I'd rather not have to at all, but in all my years there it hasn't ever registered for more than a nanosecond
  16. Bookmarked at tunein radio - cheers maxxi
  17. well, not that particular Saturday morning obviously
  18. getting in before the crowds there Steveo *Bob* - do try and catch David Icke at Secret Garden this year and report back won't you
  19. 2013 might be a fallow year for me festival-wise. EoTR lineup looks as decent as ever but possibly time for a break
  20. Nice sentiment, but again the rhyming is non-existent, and iambically it's all over the shop. Must try harder Annette
  21. more slogan than poetry methinks Ridgers
  22. "Don't know what Roy Evans and his staff were doing in training back in the mid 90s, but Robbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp and Michael Owen were all veruy good players who basically got trashed by injuries. " isn't it more likely what they were doing AWAY from the training ground that caused them to fade so young? Did the foreign players in the team have the same problems
  23. Yep. Search defaults to last year. You have to drop it down to select "forever" This is all dull prose and no poetry however. ;-)
  24. it's all in the turn - if you turn the right way in an apparently 50/50 decision AND don't panic you should be able to line up... but if you overthink for a millisecond it's over I don't even want to THINK about some of the youtube videos...
  25. yep - sounds about right Otta I thought I didn't get it or was doing it wrong. Turns out that's how everyone feels...
