  1. Bravo sir. I agree with you as well on the old-school controller thing And the woman saying "again".. she's pretty, erm "cool" right?
  2. 17.10 seconds Blind blind panic for last 4
  3. This one maybe? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,516540,516805#msg-516805
  4. yep - super hexagon with headphones = great deeply deeply frustrating tho' - best time is 12.2 seconds
  5. Slightly less gutted here
  6. Trolls telling people to get a life. Marvellous
  7. Anger? Me? 'S'if Just years of troll hunting. Anyone think vicanna was a genuine poster? Really?
  8. I suspect you didn't get banned for being "too right wing" I also suspect vicanna isn't your first name here I also suspect you will get banned from here I thought right wingers were smart and self sufficient. Not only are you unaware of other local forums, you can't even google them? 1/10. Now do one
  9. This gobshite is back. Brilliant
  10. Didn't James say they are extending alcohol license AND applying for 24/7? Aren't both facts true? Doesn't mean they are opening to sell alcohol 24/7 More personal abuse of a local elected representative (even if we disagree whth him or he gets his facts wrong) is just indicative of childish, petty minds. I'm willing to bet he works a lot more than betsy vickers for example. I can let some typos pass. "Just sayin". Pathetic
  11. Absolutely otta, which is why this situation could get messier. Moving a player you don't want is good financially and for team spirit Having someone on 250k a week (relatively) kicking his heels while the rest of the team (most if not all) on far less, will be a big problem to manage. But either way, it's not media making mischief. It's a problem for the club and for Rooney
  12. +1 for quids Meanwhile in the face of today's SAF pronouncements, worth revisiting http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/2919541.stm
  13. It is a significant decision tho Otta, and with plenty of precedent at Utd with once-key players spending big games on the bench before being jettisoned
  14. "Hand cut is just another elevation of ordinary stuff to w**k status" there is a bit of that to be fair. As I said earlier tho, it's more a shorthand I read as "real spuds" rather than "a real spud cut by someone or pushed through metal grid" I don't mind either - but as Otta says, the important bit is the spud and not some machine cut, reformed potatoe glue
  15. media of all types full of binary opinions, but this blog *from music journo Dorian Lynskey - so unliely to be most qualified, and yet...) seems the best summary I've come across so far http://33revolutionsperminute.wordpress.com/2013/03/06/assessing-hugo-chavez-1954-2013/
  16. yup, iaineasy http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,559017,559017#msg-559017
  17. I guess machine cut just means a uniformity I'm not too keen on It also means someone is using real spuds as opposed to some reformed spud mulch
  18. no wonder people complain about the amount of "air traffic" above Dulwich...
  19. "With you Mr Ben on the proper chip thing. Don't think they exist in caffs any more." finding them ANYWHERE is proper hard what we have is a plethora of places offering "hand cut", "triple cooked" chips - which sounds good (and should be a given anyway) but turns out to mean huge hunks o spud, with teflon exterior and bland, verging on raw interior because they are all cut TOO BIG. And people are proud of this! You see it all on the time on cookery shows on'telly this bobbins: http://www.potatolovers.co.uk/images/recipes/3268518741_0b142ca6e1.jpg no no no.... I want my chips hand cut, i want them triple cooked (or at least double) but have them as proper chips more like these: http://www.snarkandpepper.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/steak-frites.jpg And the two best restaurants in the area let themselves down in opposite ways: Franklins - too big and spuddy Palmerston - bought in bland frozen fries
  20. Maybe they could walk off and claim toothache?
  21. And we have his company to "look forward to" at this months curry club. Lawks (He is much sweeter in real life tho. I know, I was surprised too)
  22. If only there was some kind of old phrase for such foolish (if understandable)optimism But some people will swallow anything.
  23. yup and all teh reasons why that are the case were explained in the ruling Now you may not like or agree with them, but I'm not sure it's Cameron's fault (which is where you started on this thread I think)
  24. so that is a completely different case and nothing to do with a cat? any parent losing a child in a traffic accident is tragic - not sure where he is from originally or sending him "back" helps What do we do with all of the other car-related fatalities which happend almost daily?
