The one in Forest Hill replacing an old post office - that can't be a bad shot in the arm for the area can it?

I've often thought this Denmark Hill had a touch of the same feel before all the works started. Plus it was a lot busier.

People say they want a fruit and veg stall but when that guy setup right next to ED Warehouse just off Lordship Lane he got next to zero business. I went in several times and it was just me and him. (at least he seems to be thriving near Herne Hill station now) But as well a dedicated fruit and veg shop, I think non-supermarket shoppers like me are decently catered for on LL. SMBS is expensive but has many hard to get items (fresh Jalapenos back in stock btw) but when I lived at Plough end I had Nisha's shop, and down at Goose Green end the Turkish shop has most things covered. (The cypress spuds in particular are fantastic for chips). NOt to mention many other sources, from Franklins farm shop, to the various stalls at the weekend (eg outside Moxons)
