  1. People. Do NOT give goodkicker any credence Even if you see him on fire outside your house and you havent been to the loo for 24 hours, don't be tempted
  2. I don't think huguenot is being ME ME ME at all. If buyers and sellers are unaffected so far, just wait for the Lounge to run dry and watch the idiots overrun those sections too Doesn't mean I think his proposed solution is the right one, but clearly there is A Problem that didn't exist before. It might go away by itself but I suspect it will get worse the trend is well established on many other forums and measures like this have had to be introduced (not a month, but some sort of clearance)
  3. @edealer So wine out of a tumbler is a nono but coffee from paper cup is ok? ;-) But yeah coffee at Nero compared to other chains is far superior. Eat does ok tho. Pret coffee is undrinkable but their pastries are better than the other coffee chains.
  4. Given the recent broohaha about reducing PM allowance from 1000 to 300 because of server limitations I strongly doubt attachments would be a go, even if the software permitted Probable only solution is to exchange emails via PM and sent that way.
  5. I wouldn't defend them - I would just punish them with a lifetime of selling art and endless skiing holidays
  6. I'd be surprised if all of the laptops were truly dead rather than needing some tlc. Are they dead because they have been pronounced so by a professional or do they just not currently work as they should
  7. Cooking them is where the problem is for some, right H? ;-)
  8. A lot of people couldn't give two hoots about the state of the animal they eat as it is. So why cloned meat would bother them beats me But there will be a "science" scare and THAT they will worry about Good meat needs good husbandry and good butchery. Anything else is just fuel
  9. @tillie Nothing I said, and I can't find anything obviously block worthy
  10. Ah yes "the hunt is fun" Good luck with that
  11. Whilst I won't deny your experiences lady d, I have to fundamentally state your conclusions are wrong.
  12. When I was about 12 and had a fresh batch of siblings arrive, I remember having a heavy milupa orange ready-brek-style-thing habit for quite a while. Yummm But really when I read "celebrity diet trend" you could have put ANY words after it and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. "Martian (NOT Venetian!) female pituitary cream you say? I can believe that"
  13. Actress is definitely the best screen (biggest, only one in HD) Usually gets busy and boisterous atmos. But as others have said, it's not maybe old-school enough for some I also like watching footie in Hoopers . Or The Castle. The EDT used to be good for footie but the screens have been, erm, relegated a little bit CPT is another good un Vale for football = Saturday 3pm kick offs only. They show the other games but you can do better
  14. (you can swap the genders below at will - I've written them as they apply to this thread) women who regularly berate men, who say they are happy single*, and have the "the energy to enjoy many of them" are also the women who will bend your ear (in person, facebook, on here) about the lack of good men. (and if it looks as if I'm talking specifically about posters on here, I'm really not. This circle is much wider) You would think by the law of averages, if nothing else, they stand a much better chance of meeting a good one But no, it is they who at night spend their time, not expending energy on "many men" (usually anyway) but wondering why they are so miserable and alone * actually they may admit to not being happy single. They may profess a desire to settle but can't find the right one. This is wrong, that's wrong. But it's never them that has issues. No sirreee
  15. But the whole point is the FA knew the whole place stank to high heaven! They just hoped they would be the beneficiaries Would it have hurt the beeb? What other shifty outfit should we benefit from by being "nice" to them. If the FA had balls they would have put the award on the line by calling for an investigation BEFORE they got shafted. It beggars belief they thought they had a chance It's realpolitik to sweettalk Gerry Adams or Ian Paisley to a genuine, possible goal of disarming madmen It's not realpolitik to sweettalk Saddam Hussein when you know he is going to shaft you anyway. Otherwise George Galloway would be up there with the sages of the FA. Oh... he is
  16. I know the olympic ticket system is getting a lot of complaints, and cashing cheques before allocating tickets whiffs, but other than that.. I'm not sure what the specific problems are? How would you distribute 6.6 million tickets (or whatever it is) fairly? As for the world cup, I don't get "So Quatar's bid makes sense and ticked all the FIFA Requirements? " at all. I don't see anyone backing Qatar's bid AT ALL. Bribery you say? Well blimey... who knew. Look the whole FIFA being corrupt thing is out of the bag now so hopefully we'll see some change. Who's at fault? I can't Believe It's Not Blatter etc etc But quids you seem to be saying "FIFA is corrupt" as if you are arguing with anyone... I don't get it. It is. The "dodgy" teacher gave the sweets to the school bully. I'm happy to keep away from the sweets for a while I can see the bid process for Qatar being redone on the back of all of this. I hope the pressure about FIFA stays headline long enough to see significant change. But the FA wanting it's cake and eat it can feck off too
  17. Hmmm either the fa knew FIFA was corrupt beforehand or they didn't Let's call it like it is... They did know FIFA was corrupt So if England had got the world cup that would be ok then? I don't dispute a world cup here would be great (although I recall more empty seats than many people for euro 96) but so what. What was the realpolitik in aid of? JUST to get the world cup? That makes us different from qatar in not many ways
  18. Is this the same fa who tried to call the sections of the press exposing FIFA corruption, "unpatriotic"?
  19. I'd say the picture came before the list in any case
  20. You edited twice and still you left in some weird bit where you deny changing usernames even tho i never accused you of any such thing. What I accused you of was bringing irrelevancies into a debate. That is what I was talking about.
  21. James does indeed indulge in cheap point-scoring But being found wanting is a human trait - something we are all susceptible to. But of all the local councillors, here he is opening himself up every day. I take my hat off to him for that at least (even if I didn't vote for him, or his party) As for the call centre, there isn't a wealth of info readily available online so if you could do the honours.. And I wonder if it's possible could your run me by the numbers as to what it would cost to provide a broadly similar service without the call-centre? lastly I didn't "change" my name. Not that it's relevant to this debate. Not that that has ever stopped you
  22. googling "statistics one in ten" was an eye-opener.. basically, anything and everything ever... 1 in 10
  23. Go and shoite
  24. Well I know it's a sound that doesn't exist in Irish language. And even tho most Irish people speak predominantly English, early school (at least back in the 70s and 80s) was dominated by 2 hour long irish lessons in many schools. So it MIGHT be that, or at least related anyway. It's enough of a meme from older generations to be passed on
