" fasting, sexual discrimination/segregation, prayer at the start of lessons, lack of sex education. In some cases racism and intolerance were actively encouraged." has all that been confirmed? I thought events were heavily disputed (even within govt circles)

Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage
StraferJack replied to PinkyB's topic in The Lounge
"The spelling teh...........why?" I'm a big culprit here - it's a common enough typo apparently. If it's any consolation it drives me nuts too and I catch a LOT of them before I click post. Which is even more shocking ted - nanny state or no, have you seen people suffering on a hot and crowded train on a hot day, and how many of them need but don't have water? being reminded is no bad thing. -
Caps doffed in pcg direction

That the girl from in bruges?

Very very good (LTROI) the play is meant to be pretty good as well
-
I feel your pain SCB - it's probably far far worse than what they are feeling so you go and let it all out... there there
-
I'm usually in full agreement with you on TV series Otta but not getting it at all But I hold my hands up and stand corrected one the rewatching thing
-
deadwood series 1 and 2 stand up fantastically well - maybe even improve I just let is finish there in my head - S3: it's bad enough we know it doesn't finish, but some of the plotlines don't work for me I watched a film the other day called The Sessions - fairly minor if very good movie - and it's like a deadwood reunion. One character had me bamboozled for ages before I realised it was Calamity Jane

Orange is the New Black is terrific stuff - and with a great role for S2 Wire's junior Sabotka as well "MrsDC loves it. I think it's squarely aimed at her demographic though. " - oy vey - shaky ground words right there ;-) BB - that's some emperor's new cloths stuff right there. i doubt many people could stand to rewatch it Any single episode of the Wire when rewatched reveals plenty of new angles Mad Men is the other gold standard at the moment GoT is on my todo list But what was once a novelty (Very Good Telly) has now become a tsunami - there just isn't time to absorb them all

" but if they were meant literally then that's obviously pretty stupid." we see it time and again in crime threads where people don't want to just deter/frighten off/catch burglars and the like but want to actually shoot/maim people If someone tells me they were robbed and had an altrecation with the criminal, and the criminal came of worst in a physical stand off, I'm not going to lose much sleep But when people, in cold light of day, start saying they WANT to.. that's different in my book

Alan - several people have posted they wish he had been run over. That is who I'm addressing Noone has said it was a kid, that's true, but are you suggesting it makes a difference to the support or otherwise - "yeah if it's a young 'un, don't run him over, but if he is say, 25, then go for it" Like the OP and Otta, I'm glad people stepped in to help and try and apprehend him - but subsequent posts crossed a line
-
just to add - I'm sure you could find people on the internet to support your "Blair gets a pass from lefties" - but I don't think that makes them a majority or gives a reason why you took such a tone yesterday
-
"er, no mention of Tony Blair after today?.....and at least the others mentioned on here are harmless rather than war criminals." sort of what people were taking the thread for on here I thought - light hearted bants and that... but as you mention it, yeah he's stinking the place up again. but wait what's this? Surely you aren't going to turn this into another one of your.. "Still, he's Labour isn't he so moral high ground by default for all the Labour voters after the invasion of Iraq. Which is really gobsmakingly hypocritical when you read so much "how people can vote 'Con-dem" is beyond me" shite on social media and the other suspects....." straw-man, net-trawl rants are you?.. .oh. i see Blair gets no love on here does he? As for "shite social media"... on my feed: lefties appear to be blaming him for 1500 years of strife in that region, whilst a number of middle-ground or right-wingers are saying hang on he has a point, regardless of the past we nee dto do something here and now Even your bete noirs ("other suspects?") - like Owen Jones are having a pop at him So, who exactly are you having a pop at on here? Sir, I put it to you, that on the evening of Sunday 15th June 2014 it was you talking absolute shite..

you should be able to - even with a text phone you can text a message to the sky account - but you have an android and i'm sure there is a sky+ app for that (needs a bit of setting up - but worth it)
-
you could do that But definitely don't go to the graveyard on the left
-
It's a steep wall initially (I know, I know - time is limited and I'm not encouraging you with words like that) But you should have The Fear by the time you get to... say.. Undead Parish Especially if I find you and invade you ;-) But if you do start it and get past the training level, you have several paths you can take. Go UP the steps to viaduct - otherwise you will get owned

What Otta said and GTA flying missions Re Dark Souls - no time or WTF??
-
Did that read like I was upset? Sorry. Really wasn't

I think the Henry/handball comment was meant in jest rather than true grudge holding But basically I agree PD. Irish complaining about it still isn't unknown and is embarrassing now. Especially after we qualified for last tournament and embarrassed ourselves
