  1. Whenever I hear Gene Dunlop it puts me in the mood for Taste of Honey & TS Monk:
  2. The writing was on the wall when Delia Smith appeared in Waitrose's advertising.

Pearcey is probably the only one with experience in getting an England team to the final. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jun/29/england-under-21s
  4. I was the opposite and mainly listened to underground music that were popular in certain circles. I wouldn't dream stepping inside mainstream clubs. And I certainly couldn't name a number one pop record. Bought quite a few records that weren't released in this country. I don't do mainstream I'm afraid. This set the template for everything I do. It's why I don't do Waitrose anymore.
  5. I'm not remotely interested in what you think. You either take it or leave it. It's not as if you can get your judgements right!
  6. By the way, I'm not a fan of Level 42 and 'Wings of Love' is the only tune I like from them.
  7. In certain circles commercial music is described differently to your definition.
  8. I don't do commercial music but Talking Heads caught my attention when I heard "This must be the place" in a shop two years ago.

  10. Tottenham needs to get themself back to winning ways as Arsenal is only four points behind and undefeated in all of their Premiership games last month.
  11. Chelsea have not played well since Ray Wilkins left the club in November 2010.
  12. *rolls eyes* To be fair to Atticus, the Everton dives were done by their fringe players desperate to justify their place in the team. Even then, the dives didn't look blatant, unlike Liverpool's.
  13. There used to be a chippy just around the corner on Foxberry Road. They had the best and cheapest chips in the area. Sadly, the shop closed many years ago.
  14. Huguenot Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > UDT, have you considered that your doctor might > have deliberately misdiagnosed you? ;-) My last two Doctors have been brilliant but the ones before them were not so good. Doctors today, do not have the time to keep up to date with changes in medical practices. So it often helps to do a little research before seeing them. Here's a good site, run by GPs, to start your research: http://www.patient.co.uk/ He he, can't handle your drinks, can you Hugo?
  15. I've seen John Prescott live some years ago and he is likeable and intelligent talker.
  16. +1 for Google. I've used it to identify a particular condition in 2001 and a new operation procedure in 2005. Most Doctors weren't trained in identifying my condition. The operation procedure was a relatively new treatment with only a handful of hospitals offering it. If I had listened to my Doctor with regards to his alternative treatment, it would have resulted in more pain.
  17. Modern soul tune produced by Kloud 9. Talent is out there. Just need to get the record Executives to remove the wax from their ears.
  18. Sadly, David Peaston passed away a few weeks ago. What a talent. Listen to how he reaches the high notes towards the end of the song.
  19. I love soul music.
  20. ???? 21. I don't have much faith in Labour either, El Pibe. Just that I rather have Labour in power than the Tories where 99% of the population benefits. I'm not a fan of PFIs btw. As I said before, without PFIs, Labour would not have been able to rebuild the schools and hospitals which decayed under a Thatcher government. If the Tories had managed the infrastructure better then there would be no need for expensive PFI projects. Basic numeracy and literacy have always been a problem, regardless of political parties. Sure Labout got some things wrong but they got lots of things right. For example would East Dulwich flourished under a Tory government? ETA: It was Norman Baker, a conservative Education minister, who introduced schools league tables.
