  2. The new routemasters do not have scale of economy applied to their manufacturing costs yet.
  3. This article says it all. Arsenal pushing for third place seems doable now.
  4. Aaron Lennon hasn't appeared for England since his World Cup flop. I can't see why Lennon should get the nod over Walcott for an England place this season. Lennon has only scored three goals compared to Walcott's eight this season. And when was the last time Aaron has scored a goal for England?

Oh dear MM, is that the best you can do in the face of widespread objection to the NHS reforms by the Tories. You're just as bad as Hugo.
  6. McEachran & Wilshire are my real preferences for the central midfield positions. Walcott lacks a football brain but his pace will always give defenders something to think about. He gets the nod over Lennon purely because of his ability for scoring goals for England. However, I do wonder if Theo's days are numbered at Arsenal with emergence of Ryo Miyaichi, currently on loan to Bolton.
  7. There are many reasons for opposing the reorganisation of the NHS by the Tories. Firstly, the Tories lied in their manifesto when they said there'll be no top down meddling of the NHS. Well, look what's happening now. Hardly a trust building exercise, is it not? Secondly, the Tory reforms have no buy-in from the Doctors, Nurses, and support staff. Recipe for disaster, surely. Thirdly, even the Tory MPs do not understand the reforms themselves which makes it difficult to explain or defend.
  8. This might sound scary for RD but there may be a time when the England midfielders comprises entirely of Arsenal youngsters. With Lansbury/Frimpong and Wilshire in central areas and O-C and Walcott on the flanks. Apparently, Lansbury has been playing well for West Ham on loan.

But he has a tendency to play deep than to lead the attack. If Rooney isn't on form then England struggle to get the goals. Fraizer Campbell, on the hand, is a player with all-round abilities. ETA: One class striker is not enough imo.
  11. Frazier Campbell is an interesting choice as I always felt England lacked quality in the strikers department.
  12. If you look at Brazil, they have played youngsters like Pele and Ronaldo from an early age.So yeah, O-C should be given his first cap.
  13. I don't think SJ. My English teacher had broken his leg on his skiing trip and we all fell behind on the required books to read.
  14. According to this Guardian article, the NHS is extremely cost effective.

  18. Tevez not getting his wages had probably influenced his apology too.

My point UDT is that many of the > best schools (in terms of results) do in fact > teach Latin, so dismissing it as useless etc, as > poeple were doing earlier perhaps misses a point. > DUCY? I've merely asked a question on how useful Latin is in the real world. So to say that I've dismissed Latin or schools suddenly teach the subject as a result of a cash bonanza is wrong. The point I was making is money has a huge bearing on what subjects are offered to students. Private schools have more resources than state schools, hence why they perform better. Also private schools do not have the same social issues as states schools.
  20. Is Biomass an option? A few schools in Southwark uses them for their energy needs.

Schools that can teach Latin will have had more money to spend.

Indeed, but it ends with a payback of 50 years and a net loss. ETA: Can I take it that natural gas isn't available as well? ETA: Curious to know if solar panels can supply enough electricity for ground source pumps during the winter period?
  23. I found the Telegraph article now.

I think there was an issue in how teachers engaged those pupils.
  25. I think both guys (Macini & Tevez) recognise that they need to put away their personal difference in order to focus on winning premiership title.
