What are UK values? In this age of Brexit I just see a whole lot selfishness and idiocy.

This is interesting in light of the recent comments. The are the clubs participating in next season's Women's football league.

In what circumstances would you be gently correcting someone cella? I see the use of the words girls, women or ladies as being pretty much the same and find it hard to comprehend why anyone would be bothered by the usage of one or the other. They are just words.

Hello James, a street lamp on Crystal Palace Road (opposite the Great Exhibition pub) has obviously been hit by a vehicle. It looks like it could be dangerous given the angle it's at. It is located in the middle of the road on a island for pedestrians (don't know the correct term for this). I rang the council to report this on Friday but I have to say I wasn't convinced that the person who took the call was interested or even took note of it. Perhaps you could arrange for this to be dealt with urgently?

I prefer 'gentsplaining', being of a certain age and mindset.

It may well have, though I find it difficult to believe anything the government says these days.

No anti-EU parties? You're joking. Those that matter in the Tories and Labour are very much anti-EU. Labour got my vote in the last GE because they appeared at the time to offer the best option of reversing Brexit. Well I was taken in by it as were many others. The only value of voting on a National issue in the locals is to send the main parties a message nationally. I'm happy to lose the right to moan. Many EU citizens and others are losing a lot more. Besides, I usually vote for the Lib Dems locally anyway.

I will vote for the pro EU parties and I hope lots of other people do too.

Hi James, their is a water leak underneath the footpath on Grove Vale near the junction with Melbourne Grove. It's been there well over a week. It's a shame for so much water to be wasted. Would you please check out if this is going to be dealt with? Secondly,I watched a report on TV recently of what Chelmsford Council have been doing with their recycling. They have been exporting it to Hong Kong and Poland. In both cases the recycling was left too long to be of any use and would end up in landfill. What do Southwark Council do with our recycling?

I'm puzzled. What do they do with the items after scanning them, if they don't pack them? Where else is there to go?
