Great thread. I'd love to know if anyone mocking the possible existence of ghosts goes to church or follows a religion. Anyway, question for Rendel. Why would you call yourself an atheist when you could say agnostic? Surely the former is putting all your eggs in one basket and the latter is a case of just don't know. On a ghostly note, I have a quite sane brother who says one visited him in his bedroom years ago in Sacramento. He was living with a US cousin who was a cop. He checked the premises and confirmed that no one had entered it from the outside. I don't believe or disbelieve him. He saw something no doubt. But was it real then begs the next question, is anything we see 'real'?
  2. That's 8 so far. Think you can get Quids to defend his title Mick?
  3. This is a link for any newcomers who want to play. It a game based on predicting results with bonuses for being close to the actual. https://www.superbru.com/sixnations/index.php?folder=sixnations The pool code is 'sewstint'
  4. EDF 6 Nations Prediction Game You appear to be in the Pool already though there is a clock against your name (if you are who I think you are).
  5. Ok. I've set it up based on last year which means you guys should get invitations to play as should the others who played. Let me know if you do please.
  6. Testing the water to see if there is enough interest in having one for the 6 Nations. I'll set one up if so.

  8. Maybe this is just a rural Irish one but it gives me and brother a laugh every year. 'You won't find it till Christmas'. Cue annual exchange of messages asking if you found it.

Agree with Blah Blah. The use of the word 'traitor' has become popular with the apologists for Brexit when anyone casts doubts upon the wisdom of it. It sounds just threatening enough to make one wonder if it has violent undertones. Anyone who uses it in the context of Brexit doesn't merit a response, as by using it they have nullified any possible legitimate argument they might have had.

Very tabloidesque of you keano77. This is his resignation letter. It's content should concern reasonable people. https://news.sky.com/story/read-lord-adonis-letter-to-pm-in-full-as-labour-peer-quits-government-role-11188763

We got our son a snake when he was going through his reptillian period at about age 12. 14 years later Snakey is still going strong while son left for Uni and then China. I had to overcome a fear of snakes to look after him. This doesn't require much btw.
  13. No queues here.......

  17. Oh, he still plays the predictor game when he doesn't forget.
  18. I don't think it's a flounce. It was pre-planned if you look at the number of posts he made in the games threads which he never used to. Probably got bored and decided to go when he reached the 10k mark of posts. Great final post.
  19. Scroll up. He's left us @ 10,000 posts. It's called doing a *Bob*.
  20. I'd have to disagree with the Pope.If God* created the universe and put us here, well he sure made it hard not to be tempted. Blaming it on old Nick* is akin to switching the light off and blaming the dark for being.....well,dark. * Not saying I believe in the existence of either of these
  21. Hey Bob, if all the punters are like DovertheRoad, you might want to consider downsizing your bags.

This is the article you are referring to Loz. It's worth a read. The author suggests it could bring Brexit to an end. https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/fintan-o-toole-ireland-has-just-saved-the-uk-from-the-madness-of-a-hard-brexit-1.3320096

I would add though that it wasn't case of there being other pages to look at in this thread. Just the one.
