  1. Poppycock. The FA have dropped the FAI in it for having writing on their shirts representing 100 years since the Easter Rising. That's just because FIFA refused to sanction the wearing of the poppy when England play Scotland, as you probably all well know. What pisses me off is that the FIFA rule is a good one and all the home FA's had to do was bloody ignore it. Not ask for permission, not have the PM ranting on about it in parliament, not front page news. Just fecking do it as Ireland obviously did. As a spokesperson at FIFA said, they would probably only do something about it, if there was a complaint. Yeah, like the one Ireland just had about them. Bloody neighbours.

I don't see them. Enlighten me.
  3. Dont think either of those are stranger than them winning the CL and being relegated.

I haven't spoken to the man on the street. So I'm talking about the rest. I wouldn't necessarily say they are in charge. As the PM hasn't negotiated Brexit thusfar, who are the people in the know you think exist?

If so many people were well informed then, how come nobody appears to be now?
  6. Come on Otta. Name one stranger thing than that!
  7. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Perhaps they will now take the case to the > European Court of Justice... :) Quote of the week I think! This attitude of 'we must enforce the will of the people' gets on my ties. MP's are elected by the will of the people on the basis they know better than we do (possibly). A referendum which produced a result almost too close to call where many votes were very likely based on believing lies, is not the right way to decide the future of the country. Let the MP's debate on the actual merits or otherwise of Brexit and then vote on it.

  10. Is he considered famous though? There's something about the guy on the right, though I can't place his face yet.
  11. Hi Bob. Is that an invitation? What's a hipster? I'm humanoid but open to improvment. Please advise.

Where did you get that idea from? No wonder you get your gardening and cookbooks mixed up. Who cooks books?
  13. You think he is?
  14. Great story Sue. Hope you feel better.
  15. Try ?500 Bob. The 'fee' may have gone up.

Isn't this thread about your Christmas Dinner? Thus on the day you can't claim to be 'mostly vegetarian'. You're having turkey or pork it seems. Your claim is akin to my claiming to be almost a cheerleader at an American football game. I'm the wrong sex and you should look at the state of me.
  22. Doubt anyone here watched but a classy tribute to Anthony Foley today at Thomond Park both on and off the pitch.
  23. How can someone be mostly vegetarian?
  24. We had to evacuate our office in LB a couple of days ago. Police cordoned off a large area due to a 'suspicious car'.
