  1. I just ate half a crispy fried duck from M&S. Was that excessive? There was some cucumber, spring onion and plum (sauce) with it.
  2. Garmin for me. Tom-Tom sales have taken a hit of late apparently, which has no specific relevance and is just a random factoid that I picked up today. So Shosh - we have been helpful as ever. Tom Tom and Garmin are recommended. You oould do what I did and went for the ones that had the spec required (i.e. idiot proof) and picked the cheapest.
  3. Didnt Gwynnie walk out with Brad Pitt at some point? If I was Chris Martin, I would be patting myself on the back.
  4. Chris Evans?? Feck!!
  5. No Sean, it is always. You are a one-man United Nations Peace Keeping Force, but one that works. You would suit a powder-blue beret I think.
  6. I fear they will get very excitable next weekend. No good can come of this. Happiness is not a natural state for the Welshman. Celtic gloom is more the thing. Who else has to pay a toll to drive back into their own country?
  7. I think you made an excellent impression Nichiyobi. Of the "A quaffing professional and can quaff in a number of languages, respect is due" kind :))
  8. Havent done the caravan thing or changed a baby - I suspect both require the same skills sets.
  9. Most of Nunhead is a cemetary. Surely to GOD that tells you something about the place...
  10. There'll be rugby though, Treat yourself to a man's game!
  11. Yes indeed, an excellent effort Georgia :))
  12. "I'm not in Love" - 10CC "My O My" - Sad Cafe
  13. The Rye is great, quirky feel to it and friendly management and staff. Even better in Summer. Black Cherry is becoming my favourite bar on the Lane, good vibe, good service, great cocktails and you can hear yourself think. EDT is good for an afternoon chill out and has good music on a sunday evening, gets rather noisy on Fri and Sat evenings; but they do have some great DJs. Adventure Bar pulls in a younger crowd and is pricey BUT they do half price cocktails until 8. The Bishop is something of a pulling palace of an evening BUT does great Sunday lunches although the service can be a bit patchy. Hoopers is our nearest bierodrome with good tap ale and bottled European beers and ales. The Gowlett - does the best pizzas.
  14. Come on over David, its lovely down Sarf!
  15. Buddah Jazz with Allycat and her Onion.
  16. "Thats me - down with the Thinifers!!" - 30/1/07 In response to a post from Dulwichmum - inevitably. Shortly after that there were a series of posts which started to form the first drinks - ah happy days. Do us old stagers get a long service medal?
  17. HPY BDY AnnaJ!
  18. Very Good. " .... Very Sorry ...I was a Punk .. we have kissed and made up .. I am a tortured artiste .... and by the way this has gone round the world, has been seen by SO many people that it might just be career and income threatening. So, Very Sorry."
  19. Huzzah!! What alot of new people. God bless you all for turning up. I seemed to have drunk alot of stout, so: Good Night.
  20. Slumdog by a long way. Carnell, the things we do for love.
  21. Buy 3 for 2 Chinese dishes from M&S. Nuke/bake as instructed. Eat. Go to Black Cherry. Get pissed. Fall over. Go to Kebab and Wine, but a Donner. Leave kebab in kitchen overnight.
  22. 'bout 8.30 me. I will probably be fashionably late. as ever.
  23. Started with the Pharoahs making pyramids that did. Grasping swines.
