Nope. it's just what happened on numerous other threads in the past by people with no tolerance for other people's differing views from their rather obvious orthodoxy. I Remember the one in the Drawing room on pensions that had you ranting and spitting unpleaaantness at me within minutes as an example? Nope?......

Gaza Strip and the West Bank was a mistake a typo druiven by trying to post quickly on the way to work before idiots started branding me as some kond of de fcato child murdere - sighs. Is that the best you've got? ooh a mistake. Personally I'd say that 90% of social media activity on *this* is driven by people just trying to emphasise their hip right one-ness rather than any proper thinking/seeking of a solution. That's why i Ivreasingly despair of social media - who marched on Saturday by the way?

The comparison has been made before but if England carpet bombed Ireland because of its actions, would it be ok to say the ira were culpable? Made by Fisk and easily Fisked - Hamas is the De Facto elected govt of the West Bank...the IRA was not the democratically eleced govt of the Republic - Hamas is cosntitutioly committed to the detsruction of the State of Israel - the IRA wasn't committed to teh destruction of GB I'm despairing of the hope of progress - and key amnong ONE of the reasons is the fact that so many of the people around Israel itself absolutely refuse to acknowledge its right to exist. The last time there was some hope (oslo) the sucide bombing campaigns of the Infata(sp?) which killed 200 Israelis contributed to the election of the uncompromising right wing Israeli govt, who, I agree, have acted with murderous and pretty indiscriminate violence against any attack (however puny) from the West Bank. Defending Israel's actions or just trying to understand them in the hope of seeing if there is a way through this (of which I doubt) you decide? but, as normal, it looks like you already have and one way traffic is the order of the day

No they weren't they were trying to explain why the situation is horrific but not all one way - your sort of complete misrepresentation of what they were saying is completely typical of the black and white hatred rubbish of social media and simplistic naivety at best, at worst it's the smearing rants of the usual suspects. They were, as far as I can see, pointing out that Hamas was as much culpable in this as Israel - albeit without as sophisticated weaponry.

Sadness at changing atmosphere of East Dulwich

This is either very clever trolling or the work of an idiot so either 9/10 or I remember threads on here like this 7 years ago,or hearing it in the pub 15 yaers ago, bloody blow-ins saying things have changed -

There used to be one on the A2 just after welling/Bexleyheath I think, but i'm talking a few years ago

There used to be an Oddbins in The Village I think

I predict a poor season for Rooney and a fall out with VG....I don't think the way VG's teams play football will suit Rooney.

Estate agents in giving us yet another raeson to think they are, in the main, a bunch of shyster W*nkers shocker -
I am, a bit, but will still be pissed off that our scene down south will be overlooked again....when it was probably more influential for things that happened in the 80s in terms of clubs/fashion/acieeed etc

I meant winner on HMB :) Agree, if you want to play properly go book a table in a snooker hall

Winner off is normal, or certainly majority places

East Dulwich the place for irratating full time mums...

Why don't you start a thread "tedious trolls starting completley obvious much repeated threads that were done far better by far cleverer people in the past" Yes or No? -
My bets all look useless, so I'm going to watch and enjoy

Prejudice is largely ignorance and fear, and stereotyping is prejudice whoever it's aimed at...be proud 'labellers', you scared and angry people. Ironic that people will champion their anti-racism say but makes broad generalisations about people based on I presume their accents and/or what buggy they push...... I have very rarely met any mum that fits into the utter generalised crap that people bleating on about the 'yummy mummy's" "Bugaboo briagde" etc," in East Dulwich or anywhere else, I presume if you 'look' for it you find it, cos that's what prejudice does...."there's a young mum in East Dulwich must be a self-obssessd yummy mummy" is about as intelligent as seeing young black kids as muggers Pathetic.

Much repeated by me but I never got East Dulwich as a destination for going out unless you lived here or very near (excluding the old Comedy Club). I lived in Camberwell for years and never came here in the evening except for a Sunday night curry or the Comedy Club - Inside 72 was good but worth travelling too? Camberwell and Brixton were far livelier and later and if Peckham was like it is now then I expect I'd have gone down there too.

I am absolutely delighted that the Cinema is opening in LL - despite being a sceptic on if there is enough long term/7 day a week local demand but absolutely deligighted. But two similar cinemas effectively on the same stretch of road, although a mile and a half a part, would have spelt difficulty for both of them...understand why Forest Hillers will be disappointed though

Yup, splendidly balanced objective journalism.... ..(the Gloabal reserach piece on Germany's World Cup victory is well worth reading to give you a hint on their world view)

It all looks a bit odd - Gove is one of the best and certainly most radical of them IMO but not especially liked. I think that Mick is probably right on this DC, or at least it part explains. I think Gove is with Cameron's ship so he wants to help keep Cameron in which will require a GE Win whatever . Gove (and Hague) can do a lot more to aid this without significant portfolios....if they are not the next govt by majority or coalition then I think Cameron goes...I also think Osbourne will throw his hat in early. The only odd thing is that Gove isn't a posh boy and whilst that's got nothing to =do with him moving - it is a bit weird given the tories vulnerability on this.
