  1. Does anyone know when the playground will open? The signage says spring 2018. If anyone can shed some light I?d be most grateful. Also has the cafe closed? It was closed on saturday? Any insight would be most appreciated.Thanks.
  2. Hi Renata, the one by the cafe where the carpark used to be?
  3. Pissed off, as if we haven?t got anything better to do....
  4. Posting as admin: Sadly bored person is back and I have spent most of the morning clearing up the spam. Pls keep reporting. Cheers and have a nice weekend!
  5. Hi, It might be worth phoning Lewisham Council and find out about this but I believe that you can if you request it. For what it is worth we live in Southwark and had Lewisham schools as our first and second choices, it was a close call between them but we ended up with our first choice and have remained very happy there, now two years. Depending on which schools it is feel free to send me a PM as I might be able to help you with feedback.
  6. My son has been to the Edmund Waller holiday club since reception and has loved it there. He doesn?t attend Edmund Waller term time but there are several children from other schools there. They do fun trips and the staff are great!
  7. Brilliant! Just the sort of things I was after. Thank you so much!
  8. This summer will be taking a different shape as our new addition will arrive early July. We would like to go somewhere at the end of August. Centerparcs aside can you recommend any other destinations that would suit a (very) active and sociable 6 year old, us parents and a newborn. Some water would be great either beach or water park type stuff
  9. Paros and Anthi- Paros are amazing, flights to santorini then a ferry across. Kefalonia is amazing as well. We went to crest a. Few years ago with young children and it was very convienient.
  10. Brilliant advice Monkey. Did you manage the process yourself or did you use a solicitor?
  11. Currently stuck here. Lots of police. Does anyone know what has happend?
  12. I was with Kings for my first birth 6 years ago and couldn?t fault the care we received. We had a tough time but not through the fault of the hospital. I am currently pregnant with my second and am with Kings again. Shared midwife and consultant care and they have been outstanding in their support. I feel looked after, listened to and in very very safe hands. I spent a week on the postnatal ward last time due to complications and no it was not fun. But I did find that staff there genuinely cared and did their absolute best to support despite the circumstances. For example I had lots and lots of breast feeding support on the ward as well as emotional support after a traumatic birth.
  13. Just an update. I have had an amazing experience with the team at Kings. Everyone has been so kind and I have been treated with nothing but empathy. It has been decided that c-section is the most appropriate way forward on medical grounds. I am also getting support for my fears and flashbacks during the pregnancy. Amazing care and I?m so grateful.
  14. Hi Kristy, clearly I?m not Renata but this is what happens to us ar primary. We ended up on the waiting list for a primary in Lewisham (and got offered a place 2 weeks later).
  15. Hi Eloise, I think you would attract more response if you introduce your study. Posters are more likely to engage or even click on the questionnaire if they know what the topic is. Wishing you all the best! Rgds Caroline
  16. You are not crazy I felt like that too despite everyone reassuring me that they wouldn?t. Do what makes you comfortable. As the process continues and your confidence grows you will be able to include finger foods as well. There are some good snacks for this to start you off. The corn rings and puffy carrot stick types. You can start with something like that maybe and see how the little one gets on. But don?t stress about it. Spoon fed weaning is absolutely fine too:)
  17. Don?t worry to much about it, just try to make meal times as calm and stress free as possible and do a combination of the two. I did mainly spoon fed and we had a lot of allergies at the time to deal with and still my son is a good well rounded eater at 6. Take the pressure off doing the ?best? thing.
  18. These answers have really surprised me (have never used a nanny). Surely it is more fair to split per child rather than family? What am I missing?
