Hi, Personally i would be reluctant to go back if i had been told this. I was there with baby ivydale earlier in the week and staff was lovely. I had a lovely falafel and the lady that served was v baby friendly. Hopefully they will respond positively to any feedback and change their ways. Re le chandelier i am in two minds. I have been greeted v rudely when entering with push chair actually i was told to leave. I understand but come on, there is no reason to be rude. Be polite about it. However, i do like the fact that there is an establishment here in nappy land that caters for the not with child market. I think it goes someway to create a teeny tiny bit of diversity in nappy land. And i love the fact that when i have the rare mornng off i dont have to spend it listening to other peoples screaming babies :). If only they were not so damn rude!

Mugging by Peckham Rye/Barry Road, Friday Night
midivydale replied to reddinggirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I have always felt safe in this area too that was until i was mugged on a an early sunday in february whilst nine months pregnant on crutches! Since then my view of mankind has changed. This was at a busstop, broad daylight and not one person came to my rescue. Not one. Have never felt so let down or vulnarble. -
Hey, i had scans, bloods, and smear done. Smear was fine (also had an inconclusive result so understand the worry. I have Pcos and adenomiosis. My bleeding started after a late loss at 18 weeks in 2010. The symptoms where/are mid bleeding with quite severe period cramps. Saying were as things not quite back to normal after having my son in march. Try not to worry (i know i know) and Please pm if you want more info on tests, consultants etc. i have read your posts about your hard journey with other health issues and sending loads of cyber hugs your way. Caroline x

Hi, i had similar symptoms beginning in 2010 and was diagnosed with aedenomiyosis (spelling prob completely wrong). It was explained to me by the consultant as endometriosis of the lining of the womb and an enlarged uterus. Speak to your gp as there ofcourse can be many reasons for this and i am by no means a qualified medic. Best of luck x

Marcel and his wife at the drycleaners on lordship lane next to edt. When my partner was interviewing in the city (in between jobs during recession) marcel dry cleaned his shirt for free. Wonderful man and we always always go to him now with our drycleaning and alterations. He has a wonderful view on life and has taught me so much from sharing his view on the world. A great man with a great mind

What a great thread! 1) all my fourmites when i had a terrible time with baby ivydale and his reflux. Strawbs, belle, saffron, susyp, hellosailor,bee74, yellow sardine and the rest of you! The cyberwarmth and encouragement fro You all when i needed it the most i will alway be remembered. 2) a lovely lady named tracey also a forumite but whise forum name i cant find. She came to my House with her baby to offer a hand when i hadnt slept for an age. I didnt know people like that excisted. 3) my neighbour and confident sofia who brought a round carrot cake, food and endless coffee from homemade in the early days of motherhood. 4) forumites and friends lochie and countjc who having been through the motherhood journey before helped, guided and reassured through every pregnancy and new mother drama. This thread is making me all weapy :)

Hi laura, I think there is a divide here so might be best to ask gp or hv. I do give isaac water at times about 60 ml at the most. That is just my opinion though and i know some medicals deem it unsafe to babies under 6 mnts so id be reluctant to recommend.it is just what i do personally. C. Hope you all have a lovely time today! -

Hi jane and everyone! I am out for another couple of weeks juggling reflux, in laws, hubbys knee surgery etc but in a couple of weeks time Im looking forward to seeing you all, love the picnic idea and that area is great for mums, babies, toddlers -
Ladies, Sorry for a rather shallow and trivial post but... Seriously, i thought i was in the clear (and felt rather smug about it). Got through 9 mnths with no stretchmarks but after pregnancy they are now appearing thick and fast... I understand and accept (well kind of) that this is a small price to pay but im just disapointed and feel silly that i thought i was in the clear:( As clearly the prevention stage is too late any ideas for cure? Or improvement would do :) On a positive note baby ivydales reflux has improved vastly! Which has given me enough space to worry about serious issues such as stretch marks:) X

how to get the best care during labour - Kings
midivydale replied to Saila's topic in The Family Room Discussion
You certainly dont sound pathetic! I have recently had my first baby and was v traumatised by the birth. I got so many lovely and supported pm's which made me realise i wasnt alone. I think you will find kings a better experience this time around. I would echo what everyone else have said and also do no be afraid to speak up! Sadly my community midwives couldnt make my birth (another story) but i was induced and looked after by a fantastic kings mdwife. I did end up in theathre which should have been a emergency ceasarian but ended up with episotomy ans forceps as it was too late. Traumatic but i was so well looked after! There was one doctor there who panicked me whilst i was being rushed o theatre and my partner noticed this ans simply asked for someone else. No one questioned this, she was promtly removed from theatre ans my son was delivered by the most calm, caring consultant and the anetheatist was fantastic!! What i am trying to say is that the vast majority of staff in my experience are truly wonderful, and if u come across some that arent, you can say so. I spent five days on the post natal ward and the staff were amazing most of the time. No issues at all with expressing or formula if that turns out to be your choice. Again, if i was uncomfortable with someone i just pressed the buzzer again and asked for someone else. Best of luck! C x -
Birth stories - fascinating or freaky??
midivydale replied to Kes's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, Freaky but truly fascinating in my opinion. I love reading them! -
A cuppa (or glass of wine) with a good book if i am on my own, or cuddle from oh in front of tv does the trick for me. More recently having a little sniff and a kiss from my sleeping baby does the trick as i am shuffed he actually sleeps- lol
