  1. Be fair... This thread has long moved on from alpha to religiosity generally. I just went to the most recently live thread but I'm happy to do as you say
  2. ahhh I see - I read it differently That being the case then, just park away. What's the worst that can happen? A cone isn't exactly legally binding is it? But AFN's post suggested it was a driveway-related double parkage. As well as displaying (yet again) his value to the progression of the human species. Ahem
  3. I saw they went missing too - have sought clarification
  4. Keef word to the wise mate Seriously tho, why would anyone have a problem with this - if he has a need to move the car in the driveway and his second car is parked in front, problem solved. If it's someone else parked out front what do people who think he should do? And people think I'M anti-driver - sheesh
  5. Did you miss a winky smiley there Keef? Because those keraaaazzy English are at something dodgy as well The Gays - How can we rid the world?
  6. More reasons to fear religion and those who seek to "protect" it Blasphemy!
  7. * reads PeterW's post * * looks at his previous posts and realises only 8 to date * * hopes for more *
  8. dc I don't think Keef was calling anyone from G&B "pretentious knobs" - he was suggesting that there might be people in the world who think it unnecessary to have prices for a bottle of wine visible and that these hypothetical people could be so called I have never had a problem with Nicolas but for me it's G&B every time. As well as having a wider choice from different parts of the world they have always bent over backwards to engage with this forum, even putting on free wine tasting And if anyone is intimidated by wine, you can always attend one of their introduction to wine course - a great evening and I genuinely came away knowing more than when I went in (not suggesting I knew much anyway - just that courses I have been to in the past are more about selling wine than imparting info)
  9. Happy Birthday Rosie!
  10. Looks like this thread about this forum has been moved to the "about this forum" section. Can you figure out why Josh or is it heavy-handidness in operation?
  11. spooky! And that was before Admin hid your post about Karl Malden!
  12. I tried this line of satire before - then quids gave his harsh but fair rating and I never bothered again
  13. Maurice... Rim World is my favourite shop name ever. Some common ground!
  14. Afternoon possible veering on likely. It's going to be a lot warmer than the last drinks at least
  15. blimey, it was the comma statement that you thought was smug? Ok your name was quoted in the sentence, but it had nothing to do with you at all - I was having a knowing wink at Huguenot who, as anyone can tell from his posts, likes a bit of accuracy but also a bit of verbal sparring. I wasn't picking him up on a pedantic note, just pointing out (as he well knows) the vast difference in meaning that that comma meant - but it wasn't about YOU - it could have been any name at the end of that sentence. And if you weren't worried about your name but thought I was just picking him up on his grammar, you will have to trust me that I wasn't (And if I was going to do that to someone I wouldn't pick him - I know full well that he would come back with an obscure text from 1790 which permits the absence of commas when the... etc etc etc) But you do seem to have a particular beef with me and it can't be just about that comment - what gives?
  16. I'm not working from home - I'm on genuine holiday! No abroad for me this year me , so less of thing wink-wink But as to *Bob*'s OP - yes it is hot, yes beer is lovely and that spicy chicken dish I just cobbled together hit the spot nicely after some tennis. Now if only I had some lovely open-air gig to go to, my day would be made.. oh wait... chin chin
  17. Today "Sean" is enjoying the delights of a cold beer in his back garden. This will remain his plan for much of the next 10 days Ergo, Sean is not "angry" But several threads have tempted him ;-)
  18. I think they are adapatable to both matthew - although judging by the state of the basketball nets, I'm not sure how much gets played Some JAGS tennis info here and I have walked passed a few small clubs around the village area as well - but I've never investigated Here is another one: Dulwich Laws Tennis CLub
  19. Courts in Dulwich Park are free - just came from there now 5 main courts near the bike hire place and another 2 over behind the lake (although 3 of the 5 main ones had no nets up today)
