  1. Sheesh Jah chill, just imagine if the result had gone the OTHER way the other day.... ;-) Tottenham high road is a very bleak place on a dark windy day just after every other person has entered teh stadium and you are left scrabbling for tickets isn't it?
  2. in an office by Tower Bridge with sister in law before she goes on a shopping spree while I remain stuck here :(
  3. Not a great year 2007, IMO The ones that stick in my memory are Edwyn Collins "Home Again", Anthony Reynolds "English Ballads" and (released in UK this year so it counts Holly Palmer "Songs For Tuesday" and especially Richard Hawleys's "Lady's Bridge" I really enjoyed Brett Anderson's solo album as well Re-Release of the year is EASY - Fatima Mansions "Viva Dead Ponies" - sleeve notes by the wonderful writer Andre Mueller can be found here

  13. How about a familial tic, such as touching one's earlobes whilst talking? Or the prince Charles thing of tugging at his cuffs?
  14. coz it's free on the interweb thingie - the music that haunts me days after any episode.. http://www.blakeleyh.com/mp3/the-wire-excerpt.mp3
  15. If I had to pick a time to play Chelsea this would be it Keef They are unlikely to be ever as weak as this again, albeit with Schevi coming back into some form... I predict a solid win for Liverpool
  16. Louisa - if I count as a member of the "organic brigade" you'll see I supported the idea (without the really 'orrible shopfront of one particular operator) - New Year's resolution for us all "No More Generalising" ;-) oh and Happy New Year back at you
  17. Funnili enough I had a dream last night where I lent you the series and you started to flame it on here! Anyway....I've PM'd you
  18. Faith-based conversations have happened on here before and unfortunately it usually comes down to believers being upset with non-believers I'm with Char1ie on this one (big surprise I'm sure) but whilst I understand people's desire for something "bigger", wanting something doesn't make it so

it's actually still making me chuckle - when you said you would be shot down in flames by mentioning Sainsbo's, I'm an obvious candidtate but it's Christmas! I'm not shooting flames at anyone... But MP summarised my (by now recorded as a macro) usual response so well I'm STILL chuckling a few sentences later... bless 'im
  23. Piersy - you made it back through the Fog and the Strikes?? In retrospect I liked series 2 a lot - the Sabotka walk under the bridge was an amazing moment. But series 3 and 4 are my favourites... And Mr Palaeologus - you in a funny mood today intcha?
