  2. finally my creation is complete (even if Ant doesn't know a Anaheim from Guajillo ;-) ) But by God it's hot Mrs MacGabhann may not appreciate the "effort" in this bad boy chili Lads?
  3. I know - was just teasing... But yeah I am up that end. That said if I was Goose Green end then the train from ED or a quick hop across ED Road to catch a 63 or 363 will get you there pretty quickly as well
  4. And there was me wondering why you were so quiet since then
  5. Jamie. Nice offer. Which i have just read as i land in the plough. Hope you have a great night anyway
  6. Jeremy. It takes me about ten mins by bus to crystal palace. You saying thats too much ?
  7. none that I know of Dave - although the fishmonger does sell "sushi-grade" tuna and others so you migh be best to get the old knives out yourself
  8. As for mockney's post - wow. Not that I'm so surprised this stuff happens but what a well put-together article We should bear it in mind when next we bang on about... oooh - estate agents or some such
  9. That'll be good news for people who don't like to cross the road to get cash out Hmm.. but the original site.... not a lot on t'interweb about them is there
  10. Nice one fear - first I'd heard about it since all of the predictable headlines this morning It reminded me of one of the events that started me on my political awakening - I was probably about 12, in smalltown Ireland and was allowed to stay up late for some reason or other. I knew that this was an hour when political programmes were on telly (politics! bah! boring! was my motto) but they were all called things like" The Matters of The Day", or "Politics Tonight or "Jays You Wouldn't BELIEVE What Happened in The Dail Today!" so I knew what to avoid Thought I was on to a safe bet with a show called Slants - which turned out to be a political show BUT from a satirical angle and explained to me how spin was put on everything. And I never saw things the same way again.... Ok not a great story but when I heard about the strop this morning I automatically assumed "bet that didn't happen" Then again, that's an attitude that has got me into trouble on some threads.....
  11. no worries lordship_bod - I deliberately didn't say anything else because the whole Foxtons Goor-or-Bad thing was debated to death (and these things will reanimate at the drop of a hat) I would post a link to the debate but the board is a bit unstable today so I fear if I move away from this page I won't get back Personally, even though I'm not an estate agent fan, and especially not of Foxtons, I can't see any new building on that sot NOT being an improvement on the old eyesore (no matter how useful it may have been)
  12. I thought this one was very appropriate this morning Why DO some people attack others in online forums?
  13. It has been discussed, and the answer is.... ..Foxtons. (The estate agents)
  14. Glad to see you taken the plunge Frisco - and not at all lecturey - nice and heart-felt I heard a similiar debate on BBC London radio last night - only the debate on here was MUCH more balanced (to be fair to us, plenty of people were defending the bays - unlike the succession of blokes ringing the radio station last night. And they all sounded exactly the same)
  15. Dear Lord woman - advance warning please Although this is the thinking persons undergarment choice surely? http://www.sloggi.co.uk/downloads/get.php?cid=16&did=94
  16. Thats because i lost any definition in my 20s. Ba doom tsss
  17. Nothing worse that someone being called a Milf, raising expectations, onlyto find out it's a MIwouldnotLFinamillionyears
  18. My fault again - but hard to check with no youtube access. I'm having to google the song and hope the link works Re: The Cars. I think it was Andrew Eldritch of The Sisters of Mercy who said at the time, apropos of reminding his slavish goth followers there was more to life than wearing black and drinking snakebite, that The Cars may not make sense in a windswept Leeds-bound transit van, but if you were in an open-top car driving down Sanata Monica Blvd it was just the business..
  19. I remember that song as painful at the time - but I have nothing to be smug at
  20. You realise you said that out loud Mike?? They read this forum you know... ;-)
  21. nice one Citizen - ok back to work but wait - another puzzle?

  23. easy there citizen - just got this one going - it'll be hours before you can tuck into this But I can't have a hungry, hungover posse.... *thinks* Takes some of the 5lb chuck steak he was dicing for the chili, slices a couple of minute steaks off one end, chops some some onions and some bread - quick grill, add some Dragons Blood - presto, tuck in people
