  1. You could turn into it at over 20mph.
  2. The Oasis reunion was a sure thing, from the moment they announced the split.
  3. Hopefully B-Hop will win the rematch, and retire.

Quorn road doesn't get anywhere near as parked up as Melbourne Grove and the roads around it. Maybe people don't like parking there because of the estate (even though it's absolutely fine).
  5. I would rather The Police or Blondie had never reformed. And that "Beatles" single Free As A Bird could also be seen as an ill-advised reunion of sorts. Not a UB40 fan at all, but surely it's silly to carry on after losing a singer with such a recognisable voice. I thought The Spice Girls already did a reunion show a couple of years ago? Guns n Roses and Van Halen were always a bit of a circus anyway...
  6. I think it's only a no-contest if the injury resulted from a foul - so the question is, did Dawson foul Hopkins? From what I've seen and read, Hopkins basically jumped on Dawson before the incident, so hard to blame it on Dawson.

I totally agree with that, but I don't think the analogy with human suffering is valid.
  8. IMO animal life should never be considered to be of equal importance to human life, so I don't think the comparison is at all valid.
  9. I've never seen the Stata turbines moving.
  10. He WAS a great boxer. He needs to retire - along with Jones Jr and Holyfield. I'd go for a UD to Lebedev. But I do hope Toney gives a good account of himself.

  12. Toney in his best shape for a decade? Wouldn't be difficult! http://serdafied.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/james-toney19.jpg And that whole MMA farce... he didn't take that at all seriously either. Sad to see how far he's fallen. Hopefully getting down to cruiswerweight will do him some good - and he'll lay of the pies, and actually train properly.
  13. As Snorky would say... cats are mercenary.
  14. Good post (and incidentally, a pretty fine list of bands... apart from the obvious) Minor Threat Jawbreaker Texas Is The Reason S Club 7
  15. I'd be surprised if anybody would park in Nutfield Road to use ED Station. It's not particularly close. Am I missing something?
  16. I'm sure the council keep a close eye on the mix of businesses, but that doesn't mean that it's out of the question. Many restaurants, cafes, bars, etc along LL were previously shops. Cafe Nero, Boho Bar, Chandelier... lots!
  17. Clearly KK is just jealous. So am I.

  19. I've not been in the new playground... is there a basketball hoop there? Were the kids playing by the basketball hoop?

Cassius, just make sure you don't try anything as absurd as actually going into a shop. Shops are for losers who don't know any better.

Nice story annette. But no more relevant to Otta's situation than acm's network admin job, or udt's talk of building your own PC.

Macs... I own one, but only really use it for music. For day-to-day use I much prefer Windows. And of course, PCs are half the price for equivalent spec.
