  1. I lived in Teddington for a while. It's quite nice... not at all depressing!
  2. Who said anything about earth or the human eye?
  3. No light can escape a black hole... so surely that is an example of "pure blackness" in nature.
  4. She'll be on the "Britain's Got Talent Tour", along with all the other finalists. A UK stadium tour sounds rather more lucrative than the Royal Variety Performance if you ask me.
  5. Springers was often empty, especially during the week. I think "thrived" would be an exaggeration - no offence intended.

  7. Clothes aren't necessarily sold in the shop you dropped it off in. For instance, if they already had similar stuff in the ED branch, it may have been redistributed to another branch.
  8. Steven's Last Night In Town - Ben Folds Five
  9. That's right Brendan. I wouldn't usually consider going over that way, but I gave it a go and I wasn't defiled. honk: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,240201,243643#msg-243643
  10. The Albert's being done up, isn't it?
  11. Just a day - Feeder
  12. I know, I was shocked too when they said Lorraine was 23. She does look a bit like she has melted, actually... that's a very good observation. James is a rambling fool. Lorraine is a wierdo.
  13. Sue, what did you think of your salad?
  14. I saw the guys painting it pink the other day. What the hell are they doing?
  15. Down By The River - China Drum
  16. This explains a lot.
  17. Why stop at a drinking straw, when you could go intravenous?

Interesting idea, but not a "good" one, to be brutally honest... for the following reasons: -You can pay cash with self-checkout -Cards might be stolen or borrowed -As far as I know, there is no mechanism for the bank to relay the age of the cardholder to the point-of-sale. It's not part of the "protocol".
  19. And you should be sorry! She looks very, very "wrong" these days. Perhaps it's the inch-thick layer of makeup and the bad teeth. When I was a teenager and she was in her forties, she might *just* have fallen into the milf category, but those days are long gone.
  20. -Beer flavour sweets (I guess similar in principle to the non-fizzy cola bottle, and they were 2p instead of 1p) -Double dips -Texan bar -Top Deck shandy (anyone remember the cider flavour?) -"Quatro" soft drink -Panda pops

I can't quite figure it out, but I don't think it was that long ago. I was never a fan of the yellow incarnation, I wasn't too upset when it didn't last that long. It's actually one of the few places I preferred in it's original scummy state, mainly because I have fond memories of the quiz and the comedy.
  22. I think there is an equivalent product available, actually. But it's not "ice magic". And it doesn't have the mountain-effect bottle. And you probably can't get the same flavours.
  23. Who remembers "Ice Magic"? A chocolatey sauce you squeezed onto your ice-cream, at which point it set solid. http://www.childofthe1980s.com/2009/03/18/birds-ice-magic/
  24. That odd looking Scottish woman who sings... the first few notes were woefully out of tune. Of course, none of the "judges" mentioned it, because the show is just about ratings, talent isn't really a factor.
  25. My girlfriend insisted on watching Britain's Got Talent on Sunday... I complained about it continually, but went strangely silent when the belly dancer came on.
