My GP surgery appears to always have GPs who work a variety of hours - many of them part time. Some times a 2 week wait to appointments. I went to make an appointment in person one day and was offered one for an hour later! Could not take it as had prior engagement so made another appointment which was around 10 days time.

Southwark over the past few years has had a bed bug infestation. I had to deal with this many times during my working career. Sometimes due to some of the rented accommodation not providing new mattresses to subsequent tenants. However, once they are in a property (Beds, furniture, carpets etc) they are very difficult to get rid of professionally and sometimes requiring more than one treatment. There was a instant several years ago where someone moved into sheltered accommodation with furniture which had infestation and the whole sheltered housing unit had to be closed and fumigated over a number of months.

I remember the mini golf by the lake in Dulwich Park.

We have been trying to get brown bags from library for the best part of 6 weeks, we have a brown bin but knew from experience that our once a year full garden maintenance produces much more. The gardeners solved it by bringing several large bags (used for sand etc) and did several trips to the tip.

I have been involved with the Community Traffic Watch - local residents who feel that their road/area attracts drivers who go at excessive speeds can request a traffic watch. Speed guns are provided by the Police and Police have to be present during the watch. Hi Vis waistcoats have to be worn. Anyone caught going over 25mph has their registration recorded and these numbers are collated. If the same registration number appears several times re speeding, then further letter/action is taken.

The police are understaffed and very stretched and are leaving in their drones due to the pay and conditions they are expected to work in. If you have to work 7 days a week as your rest days were cancelled, you would feel miffed. When you think of 2/3 police officers per ward on foot or bicycle they cannot cover every street. Hopefully the crime was reported to the Police (Village SNT).

A colleague saw Idris Elba in Lordship Lane a couple of weeks ago and spoke to him.

Many years ago in Blenheim Grove Peckham, there was a sop where you could purchase things like cereals, dried fruit etc using your own containers. It was part of a larger organisation London wide. Cannot remember the name but was always very busy. Worked out cheaper as well and you could buy as little or as much as you wish.

There was an independent organisation of ED Business owners set up many years ago initially to oppose the building of the Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill. It was supported during that time by members of the East Dulwich and Dulwich Societies. Cannot remember when Sainsbury's was opened - must be a good 15 years ago.

Extended dog leads are a pain in the streets- if you are a driver whose vehicle is 'off road' in front garden, you cannot see small dogs on long leads as you pull out especially, if like me you have a small fence. Also for those with restricted vision and mobility they are dangerous. I think they are fine in good open spaces like the park but not in areas where there are pedestrians or footpaths.

Was going to attend meeting but got held up as assisting a neighbour with some DIY. Last time a meeting was held at the library with a 'routine agenda' you could hardly move. Should have held it at Christ Church.

This happened to us many years ago - we have a combined drain with next door (and possibly the house before) and our neighbours were putting nappies down the toilet which caused massive blockage of water and sewage in our cellar. I think the water board sorted it our but was so long ago I cannot remember. We also have underground streams running under some of the houses in Barry Road and consistent and heavy rainfall in the past have caused water to rise in the cellar.

last time I heard was that the site was being developed for housing - not sure whether this has gone to Planning yet for approval.

Family paid roughly ?12 per ticket to see film in Surrey Quays ( it was not showing at Peckham where they usually go) Slight reduction for our 15 year old as a student.

have flown from Gatwick to Poland but found it extremely busy and can get confusing at times when they change gates at last minute. Since Jersey is only a short hop thought it might be easier to go from. We tend to bus it to East Croydon then get train.

Watch out if you are in a conservation area as they only allow certain colours.

They are called Euro bins and are quite bulky so need storage space. You are charged quarterly for them so you will need to discuss with landlord as to how he/she will charge all other residents in the other flats.

I did hear from one councillor that further consultations will be made with residents around the station area as to whether it is to be an all day or part day CPZ - I got the impression that Southwark were looking at a 11 - 1 pm CPZ. Also you notice in the consultation that schools had raised concerns that a CPZ will have an impact of teacher recruitment/stability.

Has anyone flown to Jersey from City Airport? How long did it take and are the seats comfortable? I am on the 'larger size' and find my knees are pressed into the seat in front.

I got a call from allegedly OFCOM stating that my email account had been hacked and was going to be cut off within 24 hours - press 1 for more details. Just put phone down.

Our GP surgery undertakes home visits within their catchment area. What street/area is the 'patient' in? Some GPs may offer a 'private service'.

Why do the council assume that everyone has a mobile phone!! I do not have one and find it extremely annoying parking where they do not take cash payments at the meter. I do not use the car routinely but picking up heavy goods, taking the cats to the vet (a good walk from bus stop with a heavy cat in basket.
