  1. Matt, Hilarious and inflammatory again. What's this got to do with how good a footaballer he was again? And RD and I get accused of living in the past when we drag up an old Liverpool banner...
  2. Couldn't resist as a former and probable future target of yours, no. :)) Forgive the typo, that English degree I did will be returned forthwith.
  3. AG is, of course, never blinded to the facts by club loyalty. He's as neutral as Des Lynham :)) It's his MO to make things personal MM, he's the quintessential angry poster, it's his schtick. He'll be calling you mug and coming up with whitty (read playground) names for your team and players forever now. ;-)
  4. And there was that goal in the 1996 FA Cup Final. :)) It's as RD says Matt. It was the way he changed the club into believers and inspired the younger players there.
  5. Players who turn up when the chips are down like Keane and Gerrard. That's true I think MM. Henry is a wonderful player though and he has played with some wonderful teams.
  6. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > So Cantona wasn't a great player for > United!??.....the blatant anti-utd rubbish posted > on here means that I am often compelled to stick > up for the spoilt northern bastards :)) Quids, you say the nicest things!
  7. No Anna, he made a direct comparison to Liverpool players Torres and Gerrard and I was just pointing out a fact, yet again, that he was more successful in the league than they were. Anyway, let's not start all this again. Henry was a wonderful player who I used to enjoy watching a lot, the unbeaten Arsenal side were great to watch, so Gerrard and Torres. Is that ok? Obviously united players are cloggers who only win by luck and bunging the ref. :))
  8. How many league medals did he win compared to Torres and Gerrard? I see you still can't help your viciousness.
  9. If Cantona isn't fit to lace his boots what does that make the Liverpool sides from 1991 through to....well about now then? :))
  10. Edible underwear.
  11. Would you notice the apocalypse in Wiltshire?
  12. Erm, I ain't disappointed and never said anything about that. It would be a shame for him to miss playing because of injury. I hope he is fit and well for the start of the season.
  13. News Of Aurelio's child induced injury reminded me of this: Ridiculous football injuries.
  14. O a similar theme, is there a strike today? I'm sure I read somewhere that they were on strike for three days.

There was always big Tony Adams too....I think he was drunk when he went shopping most of the time though so he can be forgiven.
  16. 78 from Peckham Rye to Tower Bridge. About 45 mins if the traffic's good.

  18. Could he be only our second openly gay footballer?
  19. Great footballer though, high heels or not.
  20. Very interesting discussion on Radio 5, I think the Monday night Club. I didn't listen to the Ronaldo thing by the way. They were talking about players being more likely to go abroad as the 50% tax rate kicks in in this country. Not something I had thought about. Was I being naive? What date were you talking about for the Hamlets?
  21. They wanted to arrest someone?

That's right, we've got four clubs who could win the league (if you count Liverpool ;)) and they've only got two. :)
  23. It was the same when the snow fell just ask Louisa.
  24. All the best roadies are non-racing poseur ponces. I am jealous of Napa...for the wine as much as the riding. Bring us back a bottle of Hitching Post Pinot Noir! Now to spend the afternoon not finding out who won today's stage so I can watch the highlights tonight. Damn the internet.
  25. Since you asked 'bout now....:)) La Marmotte! I didn't manage to finish last year so had to go back. It was emotional. Are you one of the mountain bikers on here?
