  1. Looking at a very dark horizon, and knowing the sun will come up again.
  2. Tonyw3 - leave your investment where it is. It sounds like you have already written off the investment. If that's true then why bother crystallising your loss? You might as well sit it out and see if the shares rise again. They often do. It may take years, but what do you have to lose? When else would you buy high and sell low?
  3. And anyway I hear he prefers the trombone.
  4. Well quite. I can only imagine *Bob* needs to improve his fitness levels? ;-)

  7. Also take heart from one (albeit less scientific) observation of these experiments. Which is that if you are aware of the experiments and how human beings can behave, that in itself makes you less likely to behave that way should you ever be in such a situation. Which then points to the idea that education might be key to adjusting such behaviour.

  12. I do indeed know my drink - it's been a life's work. And no. I am NEVER wrong!
  13. Karter - if you'd got the bottles from G&B they would have been organic and beautifully made and wouldn't have given you a 'gover. Serves you right.
  14. Not always, but it can cause a lot of amateurish fumbling.
  15. However I may now be not only unmarried but also > unemployed, having attempted to click on your > excellent-sounding dating website. Apparently the > company's internet filter recognises it as > pornography. You have my sympathy RosieH. I once got in big trouble at work for trying to find directions to a pub I was staying at. Try googling "The Spreadeagle". It's not pretty.
  16. well no I don't think so. That should be part of your core skills really. Unless it's very wet, of course.
  17. Yes. But not if it's with the hooker.
