  1. At this point in the day I'm willing to give anything a go, but honey, I'm not convinced.
  2. Greedy or wot?! :)) I'm having a shyte day, so I'd settle for a bottle of vodka, and couple of mars bars and a few hours kip!
  3. Please, I'm not joking! I have been a wierdo magnet in the past but not actually stalked. And really, I genuinely am not even the tiniest bit brave. It's pathetic, but it's true.
  4. Ok so now I want a (handsome) escort at all times. Odds are its my turn next, and I'm the world's biggest scaredy cat.
  5. *Smacks JL's bottom and puts him on the naughty step. Tries hard not to be seen laughing while doing it.*
  6. Crikey LE you're brave. I'd be demanding 24 hour security. But then I do have a slight tendancy to overdramatise. Do you feel safe? I guess that's the most important thing!

He's just trying to get you to take your kit off.
  8. *My moves are not so subtle after all. Damn! I would have got away with it if it weren't for those pesky kids!* [exits stage left, taking LM's free bottle of bubbly with her.]

Nope. Still not scary enough. Bordering on tediously polite in fact. Pull yourself together man.
  10. You all jest, (and tis most amusing!) but my point remains true. Peckham has stabbings. Stabbings are bad. Therefore Peckham is bad. I'm not suggestihg that categorical syllogisms can solve all of Peckham's issues, but it's pause for thought, no? ps Hello HB, haven't seen you round these parts for a while! [Oh go on. that's a gift of a line to respond to.]
  11. Bring back scary Declan! We like him best! Sensitive Declan isn't really working for me.
  12. It does! Interesing, thanks.

RC - I was a hedge fund lawyer for some years and that isn't "clear" to me!! Hmmmm. Maybe I've been out of the market too long.......
  14. I took my daughter to a party and they had a woman clown who was called something like "Jonty the Gentle Clown." Though I might have got the name slightly wrong. Anyway, she was, as the name suggests, not at all loud or scary. Maybe try googling her?

I'd be very grateful if you didn't upset my chickens Brendan. They've only just started laying again after the snow.

Rather than the sling? Otherwise it would be called "sling fishing" no?

  18. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Bows and arrows? > > Slings? > > Catapults? I've yet to see anyone successfully kill a fish, of any kind, with a sling. I've heard stories, I mean we've all heard stories, but I've never seen it. I've never met anyone who has seen it, and I've never seen documented footage of it.

  21. It's an ancient Greek question about the logic of deducing a conclusion from the fact that two entirely independent facts happen to have one truth in common. They didn't involve women in those debates.
  22. R&A hits the nail on the head. A=C. B=C. Therefore A=B. Or to put it another way: Fish are mortal. Men are mortal. Therefore fish are men. Discuss.
  23. "She's no better than she ought to be" - there's another one. I mean I know it is an expression of disapproval, but I've no idea why? I daren't ask my granny when she said it though. She was well scary.
