  1. Ha ha - let's hear this spun as middle class pointless tat !
  2. Because the Barry road section which p13 crosses is being resurfaced.
  3. Yeah but what about the original tile shop premises ?
  4. First time I've ever heard of a dog actually doing a dump in a premises - I thought staff giving that as a reason for not allowing dogs was a smokescreen for just not liking dogs.
  5. Aged 9, I used to get the slipper from my class teacher every morning before the register was called. He used a large shoe from the jumble sale box kept under a workbench. The purpose was to save Mr. Hallam the hassle of stopping class to slipper me during the day.
  6. Oh I see, maybe a compromise can be agreed - given the practical logistics of shipping a sheet of glass several thousand miles !
  7. That's a fair point Inbound. I guess Peckham and Camberwell are pretty close though, also we still have the Mind shop up by Goose Green.
  8. Isn't it worth just shipping the art with glass removed - then have new glass cut in USA ?
  9. Oh yeah Keith's !
  10. I think if the charity shops can actually get top dollar for their items then fair play, after all that's the mission they're on (to raise money), right ? If they can't get too dollar, the prices will reduce !
  11. age-old ploy, sometimes these guys sport shocking wounds !! 'E' for Effort.
  12. by a country mile mate.
  13. ignore / admin delete
  14. Just ask those late night round-the-block dog walkers if they have a spare doggy bag they can give you. You'll soon see who has come out unprepared/unable/unwilling to pick up their dogs crap. Unfortunately, the proportion is quite high.
  15. Go to Hepburns on Blackwater St with the originals and they'll copy / certify. I think they charge a fiver per item.
  16. Yes and foxes have less predictable and balanced diets than domestic cats.
  17. There are 100s of recipes for curries and no one ingredient has to be in all of them (except possible some form of chilli ?). When I make paneer I use yoghurt, not tomato, for example. Mrs Manjula uses no onions nor garlic in any of her disches (because they're both from same family of veg, not eaten by her branch of Hinduism). http://www.manjulaskitchen.com/ (all veg)
  18. No excuse for dog shit being left anywhere. I find in the countryside many folks don't bother picking-up because it's an open space !! But surely that's especially where you SHOULD pick-up.
  19. I have use fresh toms, but not until they've ripened well, then I pur?e them and freeze until needed.
  20. I use veg oil or sunflower oil, but I guess it's down to taste. Prawns, being delicate, I expect need to be added at the end of cooking - but I never use them so perhaps someone else can confirm. 6x whole chillis is enough to make a curry for 4x people fairly hot. If the curry was not hot then imo it's down to the chillis. I just use regular green chillis from Rye Lane market / Khans and they're sufficiently hot that 3x chillis plus a 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder is plenty for a curry for 6 people. This works for us and we like fairly spicy (without getting into Vindaloo territory). The recipe I posted the YT link to, says 6x chillis (I used 3x) and two TABLESPOONS of chilli powder (I used 2/3 TEAspoon) and it was well hot, it also says 500g chicken but I used 1500g chicken and it was still hot. Just in case you try that recipe - which I recommend as it came out excellent.
  21. Two tablespoons of turmeric powder is a MASSIVE amount of turmeric for a curry, unless it's to feed like 40 people ! It will give a normal-sized curry a overly massala-y taste and I'd expect turn it day-glo orange ! Perhaps two teaspoons was meant ? (Even that's a lot..)
  22. I'd assumed any 'sale' was in reality a lease expiry / new lease by a different business. Reason being if Tart group are in the business of purchasing freehold property they must be generating a lot of spare cash which they're storing rather than opening several more branches (if you compare cost of buying, rather than renting, a property). If you mean what was cost of lease, don't know !
  23. Sugar Mountain is ace.
  24. Ken if you follow the guidelines as per the video it's a stone slab and outside !
