  1. I've been stopped in the past for carrying a foldable lock knife, it was for use on picnics or when I 'ate rough' in the parks of London ie. buy a loaf, some cheese, fruit, piece of cooked chicken and head to park with stereo and beers. Cops always conceded it was reasonable, esp. as blade was covered in food stuffs from last visit !
  2. Scribe it sounds like you disagree with my description of what I think happened. At least that's what I sense from what you've written.
  3. Bumbaclaat.
  4. Everyday People - Sly & The Family Stone
  5. Basically the guy was causing offence, there were offended people, and in THIS instance mocking the death of the opposing team's former players in front of the opponent's supporters was deemed by police as out of order. I'd go along with that. I don't think THIS specific example in itself is a portent of reasonable protest being quoshed, willy nilly, by the police baddies.
  6. The Byrds - Sweetheart Of The Rodeo
  7. The other Mouse / West Indian connection I know is Maisy - the background music is always ska when you watch the programmes. Maybe Rasta Mouse is the next logical step.
  8. Boxing, the 800m and 1500m.

  11. If Mink hadn't warned that there was no mind-altering substances involved, you'd be forgiven for thinking that his/her drink had been laced with decent MDMA..
  12. Do you go all-out on the chocolates, flowers and rose petals, book an expensive meal or show, sip champagne out of each others best shoes ? If you're a girl do you believe this is something that is done 'for' you ? If you're a guy do you rush home in anticipation of what your partner has done 'for' you ? Do you prefer to acknowledge some people are free to do the above, but keep it simple like a cosy night of TLC. Do you believe you don't need reminding because every day is really your own valentine's day anyway ? Or do you believe it's all a load of codswallop and vehemently ignore it - and if you do that, do you admit to feeling like you may be perceived by your partner as not caring ? Nothing facetious meant here, just genuinely interested what people are up to, if anything.. I'm going to see some recitals of poems reflecting on love.
  13. OpenLab - Sunday Feb 27 @ The Others, 6-8 Manor Road London N16 5SA (Stoke Newington). My mate Rob runs an experimental music night every few weeks, normally around Shoreditch area. Alex I mentioned this to you privately and was going to PM you again, however after talking to Rob he's happy for me to spread the word. These guys make experimental music in the technical sense of the word, they often combine with visuals and, personally, my first few visits were 'educational', given my grounding in more 'conventional' genres of music. You have to go and watch/listen and make up your own mind I think... One thing's for sure these guys are really into their thing, which in itself I like to see. The gig details are found here: www.pawfal.org/openlab/ If you want to participate / do a spot showingoff your thing, contact him, everyone is welcome form my experience.
  14. I think some people need a Plan B (or C, D, etc) to accompany their main course, sort of a back-up. I guess that's an insecurity / attention-seeking problem. I do not agree however with the automatic branding of a person as a failure if they've had 3x divorces. That's an ignorant generalisation. Seems like a self-satisfied know-it-all viewpoint.
  15. Oh yeah I've seen that I think it's made of steel isn't it, thanks !
  16. James where is the missing children post in Dulwich Park ? I'm must have seen it but perhaps not recognised it as one.
  17. Listening (and watching) to the great Rocksteady on BBC4 right now, some classics on there and great to get some history in to Rocksteady, which followed the faster and less laid-back ska.
  18. The Flying Burrito Bros
  19. Peckhamgatecrasher, it IS the weekend after all, you wouldn't begrudge me a little cross-dressing now would ya ?!
  20. Ok well some advice there plus I learned a bit about 'quality' high heels !! Double-whammy !! Thanks so far, keep it coming. Heels would need to be size 11 to fit me nice, darn it..
  21. I have recieved post this week thanking me for opening various credit accounts, catalogue accounts and building society accounts - none of which I'm responsible for requesting. I even received Next high-heels in a parcel (on credit). I've called each of the businesses advising there's something going on, this can be a drag because some are 0845 etc nos or Internet only contactable. Any advice from you experienced and clever folks ? What do I look out for ? Why would someone create accounts or buy things when the correspondence / parcels come to my house ?! There's only room for one KK around here.
