  1. Yeah call the police if it?s Roxanne, Walking on the Moon, or So Lonely !!
  2. I get a lot of gear from a Dulwich DIY, but I don?t go there to get my ego stroked. The guys there are sound and helpful I also use Plough, Seans, Jewson, Gibbs, Wickes, etc, who?re also fine !
  3. Just entered Eynella from the other side of the junction at Barry Rd, first time I?d seen the signs (not been there for ages so didn?t know there?d be a dog there). The sign alarmed me as I drove across (couldn?t see sign beforehand because I was behind a large lorry) but basic logic in my head said ?well, I?m not ACTUALLY going ?through? to anywhere and that?ll have to be my argument in court?. Relieved to discover that there is probably not a penalty due, but Jesus Christ give us a chance and try putting relevant and well worded signs up (if they are, after all, supposed to be ?advising? drivers).
  4. Perhaps the asylum / shelter at top of Barry Rd (Christ Church ?)

  6. Postpone. No brainer really.
  7. ? I still reckon he needs a charisma transplant though...? But ?transplant? does tend to imply there is one already there to actually replace 😳
  8. Yes exposed boards in some rooms downstairs, but they?re not getting in through those.
  9. We put a jumper on when it?s cold, or a big fat onesie, unless we definitely need every room in the house to be comfortably warm at the same time.
  10. Apple spider - thanks, both neighbours are I believe clean in their household. But they do both have cats, as I used to!
  11. Absolutely. ed_pete Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > https://youtu.be/6SIlYiiCGLI > > The old fashioned little nippers work for me but > I?ve quite fancied one of these.
  12. Yeah I?m not going with glue, so hopefully those concerns are now addressed.
  13. Since the demise of our two felines things have changed somewhat in KrugerPad. Bastad mice have moved in, then they?ve invited their mates who, in turn, have brought their in-laws, further mates and then any old mouse who just fancies chewing into our bulk food containers and shitting all over the place. I?ve made a couple which totalled an overall catch, over several weeks, of Zero. I?m looking to up the count, so what have you tried and how successful was it ? I?m particularly interested in multiple catch traps, and don?t mind kill traps. Cheers.
  14. The rats behind Dominos are a bit of a pain for the neighbouring houses because they frequent those gardens !
  15. Is there an automatic entitlement to both just by virtue of living in London, or is there a qualification period ie. you must have lived in London for minimum X years ?
  16. Lynne Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If one, why not everyone? Because the thread wasn?t started about everyone, it was started about this single instance of a small backstreet cafe.
  17. Oh, OK thanks KM. That?s what I meant to type actually, ALM, rather than BLM ! But the obvious difference between ALM and All Streets Matter is that one is not white supremacists tying to obfuscate sympathy and support for a clearly abused and underprivileged portion of society. In this situation (street utilisation) all streets do matter don?t they - it?s the whole anti-LTN point isn?t it ?! Woke becomes Joke, when white supremacists are given primacy over unrelated issues expressed in our language.
  18. So what is the problem with the slogan? Is it that all streets do not actually matter therefore it?s innacurate ? Is it that the slogan is too similar to ?black lives matter? slogan and if so, what harm does that do / is someone saying it?s disrespectful to the black community ? Is it that it?s just not cool and original enough ?
  19. This is one single cafe in the backstreets of ED. Not all cafes.
  20. fishbiscuits Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've obviously missed something. Not been driving > much recently. What's the deal with Townley Road? Restricted access by penalty charge notice contraventions.
  21. Rachp - While you?re in contact with the boys school pls also mention pedestrian road crossing behaviour. Yesterday I don?t know how I didn?t knock over the lad who impulsively just darted across Upland Rd as I approached from Barry. I?m not sure whether it was stupidity or for a dare with his mates, but he was a hairs-breadth from being flattened. It was upsetting and I?m sure I?d have been the one blamed if he?d been hurt.
  22. Entitlement should be age, not means, based. And threshold shouldn?t be raised above 60yrs.
  23. No wind-up here plough person, it?s a straight-up shed build only here.
  24. I guess it?s a bit like Brexit, those who voted ?for? will consistently claim that whatever happens that is what they voted for. Hard to imagine many who voted for Johnson now conceding that he?s a pointless, lying, unqualified, traitor. Maybe we need an insurrection - but by the anti-Johnson posse.
  25. Thanks for comments so far. Keep em coming. I?ll probably go concrete base, primarily because I have a big stack of hardcore (that?s bricks and concrete fragments, Seabag, not ?caravan weekly?..) which I can?t be arsed to carry through the house to get rid of. I?m gonna use a membrane, blind it, then pour agg/cement. Planning to leave ED later so could have got away with a shite shed, but place I?m going to has eleven sheds needing replacing and I wanted to put one up here first, so I know what I?m dealing with / used to the process, beforehand.
