  1. ?Essentially, she is making same mistake as Leavers - making promises about something that isn't in their control.? Unfortunately, only a mistake if she?s/they?re interested in being honest about the future prospects around borders. If lies/bluster worked for the UK Govt, why not SNP ?! Tell them what they?d like to hear and win their support, delivery on promises being irrelevant. The only hope is the Scots not being as gullible as the English, having witnessed how they got scammed.
  2. Treating myself to a shed, now I?ve time to build one in lockdown. Putting a base down once I?ve levelled the ground this week. Question is what kind of shed base: concrete slab, pavers, brick pillars, whatever ? And why/advantages/benefits ? Any suggestion welcome/appreciated. Probably will be an 8x10ft shed, if that has a bearing (pun not intended). Cheers !

  4. Yeah but examples like yesterday show that the already closed roads are increasing tension on alternative arteries and when those arteries are compromised, options are limited for alt. routes. If the other roads weren?t closed this wouldn?t be happening in CPR.
  5. You can?t have it both ways obvs. If you use a PEDESTRIAN crossing, use it like a pedestrian, not as an 8 yard cycle Lane. The Orgs would just employ/enrich the spouse I would expect. Or do something via offshore/out of sight. The corruption WILL be done.
  7. When it?s closed !
  8. EDguy - for the uninformed like me, what does ?associated? and ?working? mean ? Protection ? Or are you saying they?re actually food delivery riders and this was territorial ?
  9. Correct. For once I?m impressed and saying so !! 11. Someone on EDF mentioned losing their AirPods on CP Rd yesterday, perhaps some person ?
  12. Yeah mine is on the right as I look out into back garden.
  13. No, collect stamps, I can guarantee from personal experience it?ll make you a really interesting person.
  14. ha ha no, because I thought it was an EDF feature that I may not understand. but thanks and I'll try the outcomes of that google search !

If it were a level playing field Tedfudge, your comments may have some validity. But it's far from level, with a long way to go, it's a different deal in this country depending on what you look like skin-wise. It's unfortunately not as simple as, "I never kept any slaves".
  16. I'm having to use phone to upload photos, because iMac does nothing when I select 'Choose File'. Any suggies pls ?
  17. I sanded and varnished handrail natural/unpainted.
  18. I think someone else asked this question regarding the lady who wears a hijab (if you mean that lady), perhaps try searching EDF ?

In this specific example, I?ve used it as detailed in my process list, above. ETA: just realised my process list had a typo, fixed and should make sense now.

As far as I?m aware keano it?s a well-known saying and means exactly what I used it for - people identifying something for what it is. In this context (people reacting to a poster?s mode) it?s accurately used. I guess if you want to imply other stuff that?s up to you, but certainly it?s clear what use I intended and delivered.

  22. Cat mate, sometimes I wonder how one single poster can so perpetually and consistently always be seeming to be on the side of near-racism/sexism/fascism/whatever, not quite defending it but always in that grey area of not quite condemning it either, or at least repeatedly presenting a case ?for the defense? of borderline standpoints. Then - having predictably provoked other posters - staying in that grey area while condemning those that engage with you. Several times I?ve piped-up to support you when I feel you?re getting a raw deal in discussions with other posters, but you will insist on these provocations. I guess you can take a view that everyone?s wrong, but sometimes common sense says hmmmm... but of a pattern here.
