  1. So far Froch has backed up his arrogance.
  2. An ex of mine very much enjoyed the 'wrapped g-spot', cost a packet but built to last. Pyrex I believe.
  3. People always telling you 'how it is'.
  4. Thinking about it, being stoned to death would be such a drag.
  5. Boxing on at CPT right now. Domestic.
  6. When I used to get the bus to town from Thomas More hall on LL my 1/2 zone travelcard was NOT valid. This is before the new bus rules came in but may help answer the zone boundary question.
  7. Sex usually helps - not a long term solution though.
  8. Not quite the same. I don't think you'd see incensed mobs dragging a person out of his flat, beating them half to death and setting their car on fire because he/she'd nicked a lampshade from the local trinket shop (or posters in a window had mistakenly alleged so). Vastly different extremes of potential final outcome.
  9. ..apart from when it mysteriously vanished then reappeared in-line with your visits to the bathroom....
  10. I think it was the Shah, not the Tzar !!
  11. East Dulwich would be ruined.
  12. Perhaps you could go along to said restaurant and let them know what happened in detail, politely and out of earshot of other customers so they manager doesn't feel he's being patronised. Mgr may act like it definitely never came from his restaurant but when you're gone he may well clip a couple of ears and look at how it could have happened. Often the staff get extremely defensive, both because they don't want to be sued/investigated and simply because people are tribal like that. But direct friendly feedback is the best way they can be aware of issues and have the opportunity to fix them.
  13. Keef there was a dozen guys with red tops, I was stood at the bar ! The Manny fight was obviously a different league compared to the earlier show. Manny hasn't really got much left to achieve has he ? He's the biggest scalp in boxing. Shame he'll be gone soon.
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11752027 Says they been freed now. News is 8 mins old according to BBC.
  15. Possibly, but only if the contest was LOST on purpose. At any point Haye could have potentially been hit so it wasn't totally in his power alone (unless Harrison threw the rounds). If you friends have bet on you scoring 3 goals in a football match and you do, it's hardly match fixing.
  16. Great - Jah/Keef do you 'stand out from the crowd' ? How will I recognise you it would be good to put a face to a name (handle) ? I think the undercard is a good' un, especially George Groves, he's an up-and-comer. See yous there !
  17. Anybody fancy watching the Harrison v Haye contest later ? I'm thinking of a stroll down to CPT to see if they're showing it, maybe around 8.30-9pm. Will check this thread later as I'm off out now. Cheers, Kid
  18. Would rather hang out in Jyv?skyl? than Hesinki, right in the country a university town, not far from Tampere or Helsinki. IMO much more easy to mix with Finns than the capital. Nearby Korpilati is a gorgeous lake. Helsinki for day trips only ! The clubs have a Finnish pop music room, most undanceable music man ever invented...
  19. if you've got water in some cold taps but not in others then it's probably not your main cock under the sink / in the hall. there is likely some routing of cold water to the sink where your problem tap is and along that route there is likely a valve as shown in earlier thread, or with a wheel to turn to open/close the valve. perhaps the plumber closed such a valve. if it's an isolation valve as per the picture you can use a screwdriver or 5p coin. if you know where your pipes are (start with the easiest accessible areas) then start looking for the valve. Computed - not all bathrooms are fed from a tank in the loft but yes it is usual ! good luck !! maybe tell us how you sort it...
  20. Defo smaller venues for the real music

Marie81, in terms of achieving longevity I think you could listen to felt-tip's advice. Playing games with irate drivers could get you hurt by them and definitely hurt in a collision, also you can injure someone not involved in this behaviour i.e. a pedestrian or cyclist. Your proposed reactions sound defensive and ego-based, however the public roads are not a place for them, you really heed to understand this. Also, what if the 'crazy' guy behind you is rushing to a hospital or to catch a flight, anything which you may not be aware of but are ready to make a rash judgement on. If it's just as easy to let him pass then do so, if he's an idiot let him be a lone idiot, not one of a pair. Unless you have never rushed anywhere in a car or broken the speed limit you don't even have half a case with your views I'm afraid.
  22. Had an OK steak and chips at Palmerston last Wednesday but the little beardy guy who served us was a stroppy sod.

    Driving

felt-tip Yesterday, 08:24PM : "It is when the inside lane is by and large empty and people in the middle lane are either driving at the same speed as the inside lane traffic (no overtaking) or there is no traffic to the left (again, no overtaking) that this middle lane hogging complaint relates to. " Exactly. We all use the middle lane at some point, but to cruise along irrespective of the speed of the left-lane is ignoring that there's a whole community of road users around you. If you're going same speed or slower than the left-lane then move aside.

middle lane hogging is lazy and selfish, it smarts of territorialism (!) and forces all vehicles from behind to squeeze past with only a single lane available to legally do so. no excuse for it and the 70 mile per hour limit excuse is hogwash, you do not use your vehicle to impose restrictions on other vehicle's options especially on a motorway at speed.
  25. With all respect Kingy you could fill virtually any venue in Camden by putting on half-arsed bands (which I'm sure yours WEREN'T !). People come for miles to Camden for action and often aren't to bothered about the detail of what's on that night. Can't say ED has that draw. So you will get good / full nights in Camden. Same as shows I do in West End mate. ED folks are probably less likely to go to any local venue just because there is live music, they'd be more inclined maybe to avoid if they weren't familiar with the band or unsure about the style of music being laid on. Maybe you could argue less adventurous folks here in ED but it's extremely subjective when comparing to Camden ! I think what Sue and Nyge have achieved is marvellous, especially for an area like this. Good news that any extra music is gracing our area. I don't believe a dedicated live venue would cut it down here in SE22 area for the exact opposite reasons I mentioned for Camden.
