Still worth going down and looking someone in the eye as you have the conversation. The attitude may tell you a lot and confirm things you don't know yet.

Still not a great choice of words, Rockets. And I'm against road closures / signed the petition. 'Setting a dangerous precedent' is an improvement.

OK, I'll try again.

Racially motivated internet posts by PJ Carpet Cleaning
KidKruger replied to binkylilyput's topic in The Lounge
pk perhaps you misunderstood The Cat's comment: ?Would it not be better to engage this person? Attempt to prove how foolish, ill-informed, and prejudiced these views are...?? The Cat (IMO) is making a suggestion. Not telling anyone to do anything. So he/she doesn't need a raft of empirical evidence and catalogue of historical examples just to qualify themselves to make a suggestion. That's why I asked you the question I asked. -

Why would you even ask that question ? The Cat was just suggesting that dialogue with a racist might be more fruitful than business assassination. pk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > TheCat Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > your original post was poorly worded. > > > > "who have you engaged with and proved that > their > > views were foolish, ill informed and > prejudiced?? > > You said: > > ?Would it not be better to engage this person? > Attempt to prove how foolish, ill-informed, and > prejudiced these views are...?? > > So I ask you how you do that yourself > > It?s quite simple -

AM, you could head over to IOW. Quite nice there this time of year on the south Wight. 90 - 120mins from London to ferry. 45mins on ferry. few mins drive to destination on IOW. -
community speedwatch in November: schedule here
KidKruger replied to Sally Eva's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I did the speed watch with Kevin and I clocked 60 speeding cars at Goose Green. The fastest was doing 43 mph. This is in broad daylight early evening over a 90min period. Would love to do it later when I am fairly sure some cars do between 50 and 65 mph. -
usually just slot a new oven in (otherwise how could the original oven have been fitted under the hob in the first place).

Nunhead Cemetery Closed this morning 10/09/20
KidKruger replied to Renata Hamvas's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Heads for the heads-up Renata. Do you know where, centrally (Council, FoNC), we can see these events listed which will close the cemetery ? Being funerals they're booked in advance by at least a day you'd expect. Last week NC was closed and I wondered how I could get advance notice so as not to make unnecessary journeys there. https://fonc.org.uk doesn't seem to show them. We'd need: location/site, status:will be closed, date, from/to times, additional specific relevant notes. -

Did ago down for a look a few week ago. Houses, space, woods, air, all good. People put me off big style tho - might as well be on the Isle of White. siousxiesue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > KidKruger Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Anyone know owt about West Wickham ? > > Considering that.. > > Friend in WW loves it, small village feel but with > some chains in the high st, and woodlands on the > doorstep -

If you're not having to commute to London a lot why not consider Isle of Wight ? -
What I said about Trump stands. Regardless of what the Democratic party is doing. I don?t see that one invalidates the other. The guy is a psychopath and the behaviour of one or any number of people, including a political party, doesn?t change that. Though it seems like you think otherwise. In the case of Trump it?s fine to insult him based on his looks. Or anything else for that matter. The tinsel-haired orange-faced tawt is setting progress in many fields back by years, environment, world peace and friction between countries, US citizens? health and economic welfare, international trade, division within American society. Morally bankrupt and intent on causing harm, calling him fascist would be a compliment to the man. He deserves worse than insults, he?s a t w a t.

Pugwash, when I lived in Scotland I think the owner had to pay for the survey and it be made available to all prospective purchasers. A lot less messing about, a lot less surprises, a lot less money into hands of surveyors doing repeat surveys on same property. I?ve always been amazed how there may be a dozen surveys done on same house, each uncovering same issues before potential purchasers departs - and estate agents should know better too when they see survey after survey highlight issues and they keep quiet (?data protection?) about it.
