Having some cash and a bit of jewellery stuck in their pocket doesn't mean anything like they were financially successful in their home country, it only means they have some cash and a bit of jewellery stuck in their pocket. Anybody who wants to speculate on how the person has the property in their pocket has an agenda. nxjen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "The boat people you referred to are economic > migrants who probably have more money in their > pockets than you or I." > > In that case why are they trying to come to the UK > when it would be in their interests to stay in the > country where they were financially successful?

I think some people basically have a tendency to claim an item that they think they may want, then having done so the thrill of the win wanes and their true level of interest becomes apparent. Unfortunately bu then you're hanging on for a phone call / pick up time, possibly losing other potential buyers. The original person seems suddenly unresponsive. That's why I mainly ask anyone interested to pm me, so that a public post of interest doesn't dissuade potential others. It's a wind-up, but it is what it is. Other wind-ups I've experienced selling on here are people: - insisting you deliver the free stuff you're offering - agreeing by pm that if they like it they take it at the asking price, then offering 50% - expecting you to help load something into their car before giving you the money for the item to take it off your property - delivering furniture to someone who guarantees they want it but can't come and view it in person (you've uploaded photos, so they're buying based on that), no issues, then having unloaded it and brought it to their doorstep they say nah it looks too big (even though you provided exact measurements when they requested them) Also one person on here I bought a 2nd hand kitchen from required a deposit of a couple hundred quid (no problem), we agreed a date and therefore I hired a van and driver and storage, day before pick-up date the seller said they wanted to change the date and when I advised I am working that day they said I forfeit the deposit. Predominantly though, it's a breeze, and good to sell/buy local.

Disingenuous but at least consistent. If you can?t be straight up, then don?t demand me to be, OK ?

Ha ha!! I was looking for exactly that YouTube clip earlier, and was going to attach it but couldn?t figure out how to embed it. Exactly the phrase that springs to mind! Good track too. pk Grow a spine and answer the question - you?ve a gob enough to pursue someone else for an answer, so do it yourself. ?what in the world did YOU think I meant in my post earlier ?!?
-
Here you pk, feast on that. Now, what in the world did YOU think I meant in my post earlier ?! You?re acting all ignorant like you haven?t the capacity to understand, when you actually have - the fact that you?re able to stay conscious and actually type proves that. So, what did you think I meant - spell it out. Or is it a case of you?re dumb now cos you ain?t answering in full - seeing as you want to set the bar there ?!

Posted by alice Yesterday, 08:44PM, ?What a nasty thread?. OK so let?s remove alice?s excuse for not backing-up her ?What a nasty thread? post.. The alice person over a number of threads has commented on / hauled people up over (what one can only assume is) their comments on variously race, wealth/privilege, younger generations (ie. yoof) behaviour. I assume this time it?s because someone mentioned their assumptions on profiling for taggers. I?m just calling it out for what (I think) it is - an attempt to scold posters for (again, what I believe is) innocent and well-intended comments, their only misdemeanour being that it?s perhaps possible, if you?re hell-bent on doing so, to extract something racist, wealth-privileged or anti-youth from them. By far most people posting are pretty well balanced and reasonable, not requiring the ?unelected comment police? to moderate and censor our posts for us. That?s my point in my post, and I hope no-one perceives my post as incendiary, but if someone?s gonna act the offendee publicly they should be called out when it?s over the top - publicly. There?s been too much of this soft-accusing lately and it?s a reverse form of bullying IMO. And no, I?m not going to trawl through your past posts to give you ?evidence?, you know full well your own posting history. OK alice, no distractions, no excuses, what do mean by ?What a nasty thread? ?! Grow a spine and be honest. I?m betting you cannot do that.

I?ve used Johnson paint before, it?s good stuff and goes on nicely. sarah-marie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Goodlizzie have you used whites before they use > Johnson as their base for farrow and ball.. Foxy so one can conclude you want quality large scallops, priced cheaply, very close to where you live, but not the closest fishmonger to you, meanwhile you don?t want to queue in case they?ve run out of what you want when you get to the front of the queue, and you want to walk straight in and get served immediately. If you?d been more specific at the start I could have told you: Nowhere.

In hard times I think any squirrel population eventually become the focus of predation. I certainly know people in the SE USA who back in the day living in the woods would eat squirrel as their main meat.

So alice you can do even better work by explaining what you mean by your initial comment above. That would be good work. Then we?ll see if,?..not being about to answer questions to explain your own posts makes you look dumb?. Good work indeed !
-
You?re not dumb, just acting dumb. I think I just said this already.
-
Don?t pretend to be dumb pk.

That?s great, it covers the first part of my above reply to you. Now you?re qualified to ?..start at the beginning (logical, right ?) and ask what is the intended purpose of the ?unofficial moderator/side narrative? nature of earlier post I was responding to. And why there has to be someone always looking for offence against well-intended posts?. So go on, given your acute interest.
-
If you?re seriously asking that question and not just being provocative, start at the beginning (logical, right ?) and ask what is the intended purpose of the ?unofficial moderator/side narrative? nature of earlier post I was responding to. And why there has to be someone always looking for offence against well-intended posts. Why oh why ? pk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > KidKruger Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Johnie don?t be too concerned some people on > here > > tend to play various ?cards? to (in their view) > > hold people to account for perceived slights. > > > So that people are clear, what views are you > dismissing as people playing ?various cards? and > what are the ?various cards? that you think people > play?

Johnie don?t be too concerned some people on here tend to play various ?cards? to (in their view) hold people to account for perceived slights.

Dulwich DIY on LL do colour-matching I believe (they certainly mix paint), as probably Plough DIY still do. sarah-marie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > diable rouge Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > -----thanks diable appreciated.
