  2. From memory, the Blue Mountain caf? was the first ?trendy? establishment in the area.
  3. I don't agree, you knew exactly what you were voting for - but unfortunately what you were voting for was a pack of lies. You were deceived, along with the millions of people you refer to as back-up - as if there's extra validity when more people are deceived! Foxy: "At least 10 people on here have said so and proved me wrong" You proved YOURSELF wrong by your own actions voting Leave, I'm afraid. Foxy: 'People need to wake up. Brexit IS Happening 11.00pm next Friday" We're all aware of that, it was the purpose of your starting the the thread I think !
  4. Blah Blah to DulwichFox: "You have been conned. It is just a question of when, not if, you begin to understand that." I think this is a bit generous, given the posting history of DF. I'm not for a second saying he's stupid, but I'd wager he's a 0% certainty for never changing his view on this, even if smacked hard in the face with the facts.
  5. DulwichFox, Can you give examples of us not actually being able to run our own country ?

  7. DulwichFox, Can you give examples of us not being able to run our own country ? Or is silence your way of conceding you don't actually have any examples ?

Of course, no-one currently believes that, which qualifies it as a lie. A lie for which BoJo has not had to answer for - even though a chap tried to take him to court for lying. (not ?350K !)
  9. DulwichFox, if your view is not formed from the above sources (see my post earlier ) then where do you get this view, pls ? Can you give examples of us not being able to run our own country ? I'm waiting for your examples. If you're confident enough to say what you've said, where are your examples ?! If you refuse to advise me please just say so (and perhaps a reason why you won't elaborate). I for one will appreciate reading the examples of how the UK hasn't been able to run itself.
  10. ? Well now once again WE can make our own Laws and Run our Country? We already did run our own country ! Though to be fair, the Daily Mail and Farage did say we don?t run our own country, so perhaps you got your view from them ? DulwichFox, if your view is not formed from the above sources then where do you get this view, pls ? Can you give examples of us not being able to run our own country ? I?m serious - DO respond to my questions, because I hate to think I?ve missed something here.

Replace 'right-wing element' with 'rabid champagne socialist ignorant element' then you will be correct....? Nice one. Just start with loads of insults and generalisations in response to a reasonable observation !
  12. Well aren?t we the lucky ones. At least Brexit exposed the right-wing element in UK once and for all. We know how big it is and how severely corrupted people can be through lies and manipulation.
  13. ?Interesting? doesn?t make profit ! I got the impression driving past the last couple of years that it was a builder?s side-project, which he was progressing with his team inbetween client work. As per above I couldn?t see why there will be a delay otherwise.
  14. Magpies are noisy too, but you don?t need them look back at when they first roosted in the UK to create a culling or deportation strategy for them. Stick some headphones on - or head off to the country.
  15. Some cats just don?t want to be petted much / at all. A friend has one like this, it?ll sniff your hand as you offer it before stroking, let you start stroking - then attack with claws and you?ll see blood. I now offer my hand for a sniff, and just don?t try and stroke the cat anymore. As long as the cat is not outright attacking people for no reason, sounds like there?s no problem unless your determined to stroke the cat.
  16. Yeah 2x big slices sounds cool - ta x
  17. We?ll have a couple of slices Sue.

More 'luxury' > flats with one bedroom for half a million pounds? I'm sorry, but it's not 'really really bad news'... most people are aware and suffer from what 'really really bad news' actually is, and whilst losing a fine local provider, albeit sometimes overflowing with the 'yummy mummy' etc, it is not really that bad, just market forces. ? The context of this thread is a bakery closing (which some may feel [in THIS context] is really, really bad news). You can tell someone they?re wrong, but you?re out of context (which is plain from the thread title). I don?t think the poster was saying this unfortunate news is equal to earthquake disasters, poverty, or disease, do you, really ? Also, market forces isn?t exorbitant lease increases. Hence, today, your ?bang-on? score is zero (0).
  19. Yeah like my dealer will take a contactless transaction. NOT!
  20. Well there?ll be the slogans to try and validate their behaviours. They?re in it for the money, no more no less.
  21. ED is nowhere near the best place in the world, but if you gotta live in London you could do worse. Obvious question is - if you only need to go into town once or twice a week and not during rush hour WHY choose ED, when you could be further out, have more space/bigger house and possibly better quality of life ?!
  22. Xmas for us starts (started) with Xmas drinks on the Saturday before Xmas, every year - mainly locals invited but a few (who can be arsed) come over from North London. Nominally 2-7pm, but this year it rolled on to 2am Sunday. Xmas itself usually as per format below: Xmas eve - Swedish missus prepares Smorgasbord, yummo ! Kids can open one small present from under tree on Xmas eve night. Each kid has their own stocking which they re-use every year, this is the ?stuff from Santa?. When kids wake-up they find their stockings at end of their respective beds and after having a look through them they head into our bedroom at stupid O?Clock, for the opening where they?ll take turns, opening one at a time. Kids play, watch TV, argue and seek mediation. They also sneak snacks from kitchen to ensure that when Xmas lunch is served, they?re too stuffed to eat well. I sort lunch, always trying to avoid having to cook turkey (sometimes failing). A few sherries in kitchen followed by sit-down family meal incl. perhaps someone else who is at a loose end. Everyone is bloated. Burn-off calories washing-up and resetting kitchen for evening buffet of leftovers. Evening time we open presents from real people as opposed to Santa (although the ?from Santa? thing is pretty tongue-in-cheek these days given kids? ages). All above interspersed with dog walks.
  23. Feckin hell. What?s up on this thread ?! ?My Dad?s bigger than your Dad, etc..?
  24. What WoD said ! From what I?ve seen it?s equally prevalent.
  25. and the cost of making-good the damage to park ground will be factored into the price of their Xmas trees.....?
