  1. It's not a bug it's a feature, it has placed a block on you posting in there following repeated "Non-ED related posts".
  2. If I can work out a way to do it safely, yes.
  3. netmummy, I think it would be proper for you to state that you are are the manager of Bright Horizons in your posts defending them.
  4. Or send me a PM and I'll deactivate you.
  5. It came about because of other areas of the forum were being spoilt and people needed a place to have a proper discussion. Those other areas have settled down own, the miscreants have gone or grown up and so the Drawing Room shall be shutting its oak panelled doors and going into hibernation. I think I'll try and make it a read only area for a while and then see what happens. A big thank you to the Chair for being the Chair and looking after it so well. ---Update 16/07/14 - Slowly mowing the posts to the Lounge area ---
  6. Which bit is specific to East Dulwich?
  7. I actually found ianr's information a useful bat with which to return the ill-prepared defamation ball sent my way. I assume the person is reading this and would hopefully either write a reply to the original post or give me a proper request or give up.
  8. Sorted.
  9. 13:28
  10. oh yes, 9 mins out. I'll go and give the time monitor a kick.
  11. it's now 13:20, let's see
  12. I have to switch on the "allow users to change their username" facility but only for a short period as it's open to abuse. Send me a private message and I'll let you know when it's switched on.
  13. Yes I do read it and my singularity plays no part in anything. How odd. Yes the singles section of the forum has been mentioned before but I don't think it warrants its own section. You could try setting up a group meeting via the events section or as StraferJack suggests, another website with that functionality.
  14. I've received a complaint about this from a "Michelle May". I don't know which company she's from but if she's from the company mentioned above perhaps she could post her message on here instead of simply telling the forum:"If I do not receive any response within 7 days I will be taking the matter further and will be filing a libel and defamation lawsuit to ensure that this post is removed and the poster and money saving expert be sued." However please be careful Gringle, they signed for the letter a week later so your issue may be with Royal Mail. And revenge may not be the best way to feel better against a company, they may have a case against you from what you've written.
  15. In your profile area you can add a signature, but not if it's advertising something.
  16. I'm not sayin don't talk about it on the the forum, there's the Lounge for that. I'm just sayin keep it relevant to East Dulwich and that post wasn't. I've put the post back up but no more please. Anyway back to the ED Ward results are in.
  17. Yes, you posted a political posts on another thread which I followed up with a "please keep politics out if it" message and I'm not going to bother telling you again. I appreciate it's hard because it's about election results but please try.
  18. Keep it East Dulwich. Talk politics in the Lounge.
  19. Lounged. And don't forget to vote today everyone, you'll kick yourself if you don't and the other team wins.
  20. Please discuss the subject of untrimmed bushes. Why does it so frequently drop to the level of discussing the individual making a point and not the subject. That's rhetorical, don't answer it. Play the ball and not the player. So, back to unruly bushes...
  21. Hi binary_star, yes, go for it, you're obviously not using multiple names for dubious purposes so it's fine.
  22. The subject is "East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?" I know it's hard to keep politics out but please do. I have removed some irellevant posts.
  23. Hi, sounds like a good idea, I'll put it to the test.
  24. What Otta said. I just told you the criteria, we were asked to remove it. Apart from the obvious removal of postings that are distressing, illegal, racist etc there's not really a thought out criteria. There's a bit more on the Terms of Use page but I don't think there needs to be anything so formal.
  25. I would be happy to retire it gracefully, I'll ask and see what people think.
