  1. Ian Hunter has favoured SGs. And in the Mott The Hoople song One Of The Boys, the lines 'I borrowed a gipsy Gibson just to show them, but now I'm a rock 'n' roll star I don't want to know them. If they want a Slade, they better go out and grow one, I'm one of the boys...' And so on and so forth.
  2. The musician Joe Jackson lived on the Dog Kennel Hill Estate for a while, and used to drink in the Cherry Tree pub on the Vale. The one that is now The Vale. And let's face it, he turned out all right really.
  3. Man I Feel Like A Woman - Shania Twain
  4. Are you absolutely certain you're not Jack White out of The White Stripes/The Raconteurs/The Dead Weather, Helen?
  5. If I can just make my small contribution to the new section. It's a charcoal sketch of BBW and Ted Max playing table tennis. BBW is portrayed as Johnny Depp who has just smashed one over the net to TM who is obviously Brad Pitt and who has casually dispatched it back towards BBW, the ball is suspended over the net. Ted's gaze is focussed beyond BBW, to the lower right hand corner where Jennifer Aniston is smoking a cigarette. An Embassy Regal. For some reason I was going to depict an elderly woman with a handkerchief stuffed into the right hand sleeve of her Evans blouse. But I thought it might make it a little fussy.

I recently offered up Free Born Man Of The Travelling People by his good self and the Clancy siblings on the Song Game Thread MM. They soundtracked my younger days when a family visit was going on, drink had been taken and a yearning for the 'auld sod' kicked in. Bob Dylan paid attention, did he not?
  7. Memo To Cammo From Andy Coulsono Just some thoughts on some risque words/phrases you might want to drop into various media opportunities. See what you think. 'Knob Jockey' - Loose Women. 'Fellatrix' - Today, John Humphrys. 'Jizz bucket' - The One Show. 'C*ntbollox' - Top Gear, this could be risky but it's massive so chance it. 'C*ntbollox' - That new show of Richard & Judy's, safe enough I reckon. 'Spunk Monkey' - GMTV. 'Filthy Whores' - BBC Breakfast. 'Wankel Rotary Engine' - This Morning. 'Completely Shagged Out' - Bargain Hunt Celebrity Tat Find. Hope these meet with your approval DC. And once again may I thank you for taking me on as your as your publicity maven. Me and the family are so grateful. What with the 'other lot' not having a great time with a former hack with the initials 'AC'. Ando

  10. 11. Make a note to use the Quote This Message button when dealing with that slippery b*stard Max.

  17. But using JB's model people will be stooging in and just having the one. That's no way to turn a profit. P!ss artists, that's what you need in the bar game.
  18. There's no such person as Dick Cheese but you found him. Put a little more effort into it, I'm feeling apathetic and lanquid today but that's no excuse for you to...oh, you know...
  19. Try Peckham there are cheaper ones there, about a quid an hour, unlike the very expensive lot in the vid shop. The library will give you an hour a day I believe. Welcome by the way.
  20. As you've made the thread walk again Brendan, have I mentioned Ian Hunter covering A Nightingale Sang In Berkely Square? I could look I suppose, but...
  21. I remember when it was all hundreds and thousands, it's billions everywhere you look nowadays. I could understand a hundred and a thousand, but a billion is like some strange number that is just completely random and could mean anything. Like the people who have three numbers, one, two and many.
