  1. Don't think Twice It's Alright - Bob Dylan
  2. How Long? - Mott The Hoople.
  3. I saw Mott there in '73 with Queen supporting, course it was the Odeon in them days and it was all fields around there. I was down the front then. Thanks for Theatremonkey tip, I'll make sure I have to hand when booking.

Let joy be unconfined, let there be dancing in the streets, let there be a large influx of balding blokes in leather jackets to the Hammersmith area on the 2nd and 3rd of October this year. Seriously this is good news for me, especially as it's going to be just a two off, they've apparently been offered quite serious money at various times over the years to reform, they were biggish in the US for a time in the early seventies after all. Couldn't be happier if you bought me a new hat.
  5. Sick And Tired - Fats Domino
  6. You're So Vain - Carly Simon
  7. Fair enough Charlies, Bookiesrunner. Actually small two/three word phrases are I think permissible, you bad girl.
  8. Train Kept A Rollin' - The Yardbirds
  9. A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles

Let me assure you it wasn't me. Or at least I'm pretty sure I haven't stolen from you. It's not very likely I reckon. Upland Road's right on my manor. Doorstep, my own, shitting. Not my style. So you can rule me out of your enquiries. But good luck.

Anyone else...? I've just got Joe Brown's Day At Seaside lodged in my head. I can't remember all the lyrics but the ones standing out at the moment are 'and we'll both dip our 'eads in the deep blue sea' 'get your stick of candy, you will do for mine' and 'if you kiss me quick then we'll 'ave a cup a tea...at the seside'. So course ye can, gel. Always room in the 'andcart for a dollybird.

Proper 'priest sock' black. Not that very very very very very very very very very dark blue that some nimrods claim to be black. The band is of a very very very very very very very very very dark blue that some nimrods claim to be black. But I was aware of it and am not a nimrod, so that's alright then. The band is of a ridged satin that catches the light 'just so', not showy you understand, but enough to get a fellow noticed. The bow on the right-hand side is what Louisa May Alcott would have described as 'cunning'. It's a widebrimmed number, and I wear it either pushed onto the back of my head like Paul Simonon of The Clash used to wear his hats during their 'lairy greaser' phase, or pulled down over my eyes, like an incognito vampire. But the best touch is the lining, it's an oxblood and grey check that is seen at it's best when I doff. And believe me, I am a dedicated doffer. If Marks produce anything better than this, this year I'll eat my hat.

The remark was along the lines of 'don't worry mate, no need to apologise I've got another one'. But amn't I supposed not to say things like that to wheelchair geezers? Shouldn't I just turn the other foot, as it were? The priests at school didn't have specific rules about such things, but I think they implied that was the best way to deal with such matters.

  19. Actually when you put it like that TT, it sounds rather fun. Bit like an old fashioned 'beano' in a 'chara'. Replace hell with Margate and there's a beezer day out.
  20. Forever Young - Bob Dylan

Unfortunately RosieH my IT skills are not sufficient for me to present it to you on here. I have a confession to make, I was parading around the Brixton area and sure enough the geheral populace seemed cheered by my headgear. Unfortunately I made a sarcastic remark to a man in a wheelchair who ran over my foot, which I think undid all the good 'karma' I had 'laid down'. I'm going to hell, aren't I?

Don't be so hard on yourself, six fine recipes there, that Chilli Cheesy Bean Dogs On Toast is a masterstroke. With this sort of creativity you don't need to be giving hard-earned wedge to local caffs. And be sure to give the Forum a mention when you appear on Masterchef. And if you can nut John Turd, then the Addlestones are on me.
