Oh, Chopsticks. Thank Christ, I thought it was Chapsticks. Particularly the cherry ones. I still live in hope that when Katy gets over kissing girls I might be in with a chance. A phase I reckon. Perhaps a Chinese might do the trick.

Then back home with a few large Peronis and get all surreal on a trolly thread. It's what makes Fridays off special. Cheers. -

Provided of course I got the 'God you're beautiful when you're angry', line. Now that'd be worth a booking fee.

And yes I know it's 'tenterhooks', not 'tenderhooks', but two of my work colleagues misused it this week and I don't want to show them up if they visit here. Coincidentally one was named Andy.

COme on MM we're all on tenderhooks here.

That's plenty of time for me to receive the tickets, put them 'somewhere safe', forget where they are, and not be able to find them the day before the shows. I'm now in a muck sweat. Holy crap. I may contact TicketBastard and tell them not to entrust tickets to me until a week before the event, on the basis that I don't take proper care of my things. Mind, as I said before I'm fancying The Faces as well, never saw them live, but have the LPs, and as you say, Ronnie Lane not being there will be a massive loss, I would so love to hear 'Debris' and particularly 'You're So Rude' live by him. Fantastic songs. But I'd be hugely keen to seem them, depending on where they play. Keep 'em peeled and keep us informed.

You say spoilt Giggi, no I won't have that, I say worth it. Thank you for the sweet tear, and I know there'll be more than one or two shed on the nights. Not least by me at Mott's proper swansong. Although who knows...?

Not sure which Andy you're referrring to Quids. But, I'm fairly sure I don't wish to employ him as a carpenter and I'm definitely certain I won't shake his hand.

giggirl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Where in the stalls and where in the circle? Not > too far back? Actually I noted the seat numbers thanks to your theatre monkey recommendation, but I've left the note at work. The stalls are round about the centre and looked OK, the circle is towards the back, but I took them anyway. Obviously I'd like the best possible seats which is what I asked for, but they were going at a very fast rate, so in the end I settled for what was available for fear of losing out completely. For me it's an 'event' kind of gig if you know what I mean, Mott meant a lot to me, though I wasn't a very early fan, as soon as I heard them there was a connection. Oh and I came to them well before the 'hit' (the music snob will out of course). A lot of the draw of Mott was of course Ian Hunter, who I thought was worthy of hero worship as a young 'un and to a certain extent as an older 'un still do, he's never done anything to embarrass me, he's ploughed his own furrow and actually is a hugely underated songwriter, though obviously not by me. And he looked and still looks great. So I'll be taking my son to at least one of the nights, if not both. He's a fan of Ian and we always go and see him when he's over. He's also a fan of Mott, I absolutely insisted on it, and in fact made a note to that effect on the bottom of his birth certificate. So you see Giggi, it's not just another show where I might dismiss it if the seats weren't OK, I have to be in that building on those evenings, breathing the air, being with people for whom Mott meant so much and whose songs soundtracked our lives. If it was the offer of the janitor's closet with an ear trumpet, I'd have said yes. So bless you once again for asking. I'm off to phone my boy now with the good news. HUGS.

Unless it's Andrew Loog Oldham. But I don't think he'd let anyone use a diminutive. And if they pushed it then Reg The Butcher might get involved. As Ned Flanders once remarked 'it's a dilly of a pickle'.

I think I've got it. MM wants to know which Andy recorded New York Satyricon Zany, the glam rock single, in the mid 70s. It was of course Andy Bown, MM. You're welcome.

On the downside according to the cover of OK magazine, Jordan doesn't think he's fit. If you Barack, break it to him gently.

I am indeed thank you Giggi, Stalls for the 2nd and circle for the 3rd, could be better but they were selling really fast. Because it's only two dates, there are a lot of people coming from the US and Europe, so demand is high. I'm off for a stroll in a moment and you can bet my hat will be at a jaunty angle, and I'll be tunelessly whistling All The Young Dudes. Yowsah!

It is Ralpher JL, the complete original line up. I'm keen on seeing the Faces as well. And yes I'm as happy as a dog with two dicks.
