The 'suicides' from balconies are well known (some have been going on about it on social media for years) On the other hand I have a work colleague who loves Thailand and visits every year (not for nefarious reasons) and wouldn't hear a word against it.
  2. Welcome back to the "Rules based liberal world order" says CNN and states other nations especially in Europe seem to agree. Hope the UK agrees.

Freeholders could agree to spend money and bill all leaseholders here - could be expensive. I do notice many hard floors these days recommend very good underlay - that is supposed to be noise reducing. Maybe worth checking whats there.
  4. This reminds me of sitting outside the nurses office at school waiting for my vaccination for whatever (there were a few different ones in the 1980s). Nothing to be worried about in the end although we all compared marks.

I wonder what "reached out" means ;) You can see a pic of the original tweet in the replies somewhere.
  6. Julia Hartley-Brewer is supposedly in talks to have a slot on the new TV News channel "GB News". As this is a "shock jock" channel I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of alternative view points.
  7. Maybe it's a transition process for former meat eaters or maybe vegans do like imitation meat (it's their choice) - I'm not one but I eat less meat these days .. but way too much potato.

Everyone blocks on twitter - mainly bots/multiple accounts as there are loads. Why do people still accept the 8 figures as a username suffix if they only have a single account (twitter does it automatically these days on creating accounts but if you love your account you'll remove it and add something less bot like).
  9. snowy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We will have re-entered the EU before any of that > gets built. This sounds so like Boris's plan for a Ireland UK Bridge. "British officials foresee special relations between Morocco and the United Kingdom if the European Union ratifies the agreements between Spain and the United Kingdom regarding the future of Gibraltar within the Schengen area. " So the tunnel is in the Schengen area perhaps - so the customs area is in Morocco ?. Oh and look who has interests in Morocco - maybe they'll build it for a price :) https://www.asiabyafrica.com/point-a-to-a/china-morocco-friends
  10. Twice I got it struck off - both times as I was shopping in Sainsburys nowhere else.
  11. Some guy called James Murdoch is criticising the media for propagating lies https://www.theguardian.com/media/2021/jan/16/james-murdoch-says-us-media-lies-unleashed-insidious-forces
  12. Accidently came upon a QAnon thread on twitter yesterday They think that brooch that Nancy Pelosi wears signifies she's the leader of the deep state. She didn't wear it earlier this week and they suggested she's been toppled. https://www.texasmonthly.com/politics/nancy-pelosi-mace-brooch-texan-jeweler/
  13. I think the main issue is not the minister however - it's that no-one told the fishermen they were being screwed over :)

No mention of 'never read it'. > > The very definition of fake news. It's the radical Brexiteers who are after her job for insulting fishermen - like the Express readers. She's a pro deal minister not a radical. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1383908/brexit-news-fishing-minister-nativity-boris-johnson-Ian-Blackford-Victoria-prentis RULE_BRITTANNIA says in the first comment "Remove Victoria Prentis now Boris, she chose her Christmas priority was her family, not the British people. She needs to understand priorities or take a job at the fish market herself gutting fish." How dare she put her family first LOL.

She's going to fine members who disregard security measures and she'll take it straight from their salaries. So she's back and she's on fire. https://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/11321-2
  16. Fair enough - I wouldn't pay him for that either. "Donald Trump turns on aides as he ?refuses to pay Rudy Giuliani?s $20,000-a-day fees?"
  17. Is it because the van is on double yellow too I bet they're allowed to break the law to catch one :)
  18. Best comment I heard from many who got about a minute each "If you've got a soul vote to impeach"
  19. LOL - Oh yes

I thought it was 1.5 shot - the first shot was half a shot.

  22. The Government wants food lorries to have accelerated access through Dover. All good but that means non food lorries have sloooooooooow access - and that's business too.
  23. I'd say slightly larger - 5-10 republicans voting for impeachment (or maybe they'll just hide). Dick Cheney's daughter Liz Cheney says she will definitely vote for.
  24. CNN seems to think they will move over as the Presidents influence on them falls (no twitter now) and the republicans realise they can get rid of him for good. Some Republicans are radical - there's a QAnon representative.
  25. Not 100% sure (might be one or two left) but think they're mostly gone now - so looks like slots were available at 9:00 and gone by 10:30 for 7 days later today
