  1. If woke wasn't such a provocative word (I don't know why but it is - maybe because it's not really a word in the sense it's used). It's meaning is rather boring - just an ability to understand injustice and history - nothing bad.

I'd guess he would't have said it if his colleagues had ostracized him or others for similar behavior (this stuff doesn't come out of the blue). There's a corporate responsibility here to train and tell employees what their responsibility is.

They should have been told clearly when starting that it's gross misconduct (we had to visit a lawyers premises when we had our courses on this - it emphasised the seriousness)

    Peak guardian?

You can't stop aging unless you find the fountain of youth, you can wear a wig (like that Tory MP) but people may laugh.

    Peak guardian?

Reminds me of a woman I worked with back in 1990 "I hate this middle management idea of calling people by their first names" Up to that point many people still called work colleagues Mr+surname especially people above or below you in the hierarchy.

  11. Subs would have done that once - not sure any exist these days.
  12. It must have just got through to me born 1965 as I always feel compelled to make a token effort with something at least for Lent. Cadburys cream eggs and Hot Cross Buns do tempt though but I guess they're all year round now. Never eaten an Easter egg proper before Easter Sunday.

What is this plan to send Prince Edward to Scotland - who came up with that. In Wales it's only fear of rule by Cardiff that keeps many hanging on, not a love of the UK and gradually that fear will fade.
  18. I notice the really bad thieves go into the employees lounge to nick their coffee (and other stuff) as they aren't happy with just nicking from the store.
  19. From Councillor McAsh's Newsletter. "Low traffic neighbourhoods The council will announce this month plans to review these measures. There will be first an opportunity to ?tweak? the schemes ? so that we have the best possible version of them ? before making a final evaluation on whether to keep them or not. This will be based on a combination of objective data, and the views of the local community." https://www.jamesmcash.com/blog/councillor-newsletter-spring-2021?ss_source=sscampaigns&ss_campaign_id=601d2aa952505c0247181aa2&ss_email_id=601d2bccfd80426f1ea93c2f&ss_campaign_name=Councillor+Newsletter+-+February+2021&ss_campaign_sent_date=2021-02-05T11%3A28%3A16Z

    Flags

Well All ministers have one, Boris has two and Sir Kier Starmer has been told to get one quick. Flags are brilliant when you're on a zoom meeting as they show your patriotism. I'm buying this one and it's only ?111 and surely I can claim tax off that as Boris wants us all to have one. https://flagmakers.co.uk/products/flags/national-flags/united-kingdom/wales-dragon/
  21. Fair enough Sp - The democratic unionists seem to have a bee in their bonnet about NI trade saying it's not just teething problems. I thought they had the best UK position (best of both worlds) but they aren't happy.

The NI question asked if he would use any means at his disposal - he seemed to say yes but it;s difficult with him to follow what he's on about. He also said he would be prepared to a few weeks back https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/brexit/watch-we-will-have-no-hesitation-in-triggering-article-16-if-necessary-says-boris-johnson-39964412.html
  24. I understand that the prime minister is now prepared to invoke article 16 after today's PMQs ?

If all our Pfizers-Biontech were enough to do the over65s and people were assured of that I think we'd accept it - the younger people would have more AstraZeneca in the meantime.
