Thanks D.. I would go there but it is actually my step-mum who arrived from Australia at 5am this morning who needs to do something for my dad so I fear if I tried to direct her in her jetlagged state she would end up god knows where!

Is there anywhere on the lane that does scanning of docs that can then send to an email address? I need to urgently get something scanned and emailed.. thanks

Last one I saw was the one where they phoned > everyone and the people on the other end jumped up > and down. My money was on a bun in the oven. That was the engaged one, if you read her lips she says something like 'asked me to marry him' or similar.. bun in the oven will be soon but there must be going to be another in between!! I hope..

My best friend lives just off college road and yes it is quiet and leafy but its a pain in the arse public transport wise.. It does have regular (ish) trains to sydenham hill but not as often as east / north dulwich and the station can be a bit dodgy depending on what side of it you exit.. Buses up there are not great.. for my money I wouldnt go there.. and youre right you have to pay the toll unless you live ON college road and then I believe it is free.. my best friend loves it as she has a car and drives everywhere including work but every fri/sat night she is cabbing it to the lane (10.50 each way) for a night out as not much going on up that neck of the woods besides the Mansion (gone severely downhill since the new owners took it on), the Alleyn Head (pretty average) and then the triangle up at gipsy hill (one bar call the black sheep is good).. (I also use to live at gipsy hill - do not live there!) anyhoo just my thoughts..

London Underground: Superb Network and Service..
Strawbs replied to Tony.London Suburbs's topic in The Lounge
I think the tube is an absolute fantastic service.. live in other countries such as Australia where I am from and it makes you realise how great it is.. Tube - peak hour - train every 1 - 2 mins (at worst) Australian trains - peak hour - 1 train every 17 - 23 minutes - I kid you not! -
sometimes I dont get that cartoon.. makes me feel like a right twat..

We def have a damp problem that the landlord is going to fix so maybe once that is done it will sort itself out.. We put more salt down yesterday (used the entire container actually) and they have been back overnight, all over the cupboards, up the drawers, slime left all over the tea towel .. it is gross! On the weekend am going to pull the kitchen apart to see if I can see where they are coming in from.. dulwitch - will put some pellets throught he cupboards too and see if that helps.. x
-
HI Sam (Ignore the response you just got..) No idea sorry but am quite interested in looking in to it myself.. If I come up with anything I will let you know..
-
ended up getting a cab both ways as was way too hungover to face it..

Hey all thanks for the responses.. I can totally confirm it is beyond disgusting and the kitchen is getting scrubbed within an inch of its life every day! Tried the bleach, tried the plug (which stopped them for a few days but now they have worked out another way of getting in), tried the salt and also continue to put pellets down.. I think the only thing left to do is way more salt in each cupboard like you say Tee and pulling all the cupboards out and filling any space we see.. Is it a seasonal thing or can we expect this all year round? x

As in they would drink the beer then go and die or they would just way much prefer swimming in a pool of beer than slugging around on a kitchen sink? Wow your mum was keen on slug removal! ha ha ha.. We have tried putting a line of salt on the kitchen surfaces, dishwasher etc.. Will try your pot of beer idea.. Its all worth a try at this point! thanks

We have just moved in to a ground floor flat and are having an issue with slugs in our kitchen during the night.. We have caught them in the act a few times (coming out to 4 or 5 of the things) and also the evidence is there in the morning when we wake up ( if we havent caught them in the act ourselves). We have put slug killer down and also we now put the plug in when we go to sleep which seems to have stopped them for a few days but woke up this morning and their trails were everywhere so they are back.. Any tips on how we get rid of them or atleast deter them? thanks

Burglary (on Barry road Wed 5th Aug.)
Strawbs replied to Barry Rhode's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Think the thread should read 5th August not 5th Sept unless we are predicting when we are all going to get done! >:D
