  1. Brill Melbourne groover I will head down there tomorrow x
  2. Slad - most white jewellery needs a dip back in to white gold every now and again as it's basically yellow gold dipped in white gold so it wears off over time. X
  3. I have finally gotten my wedding ring back on post birthing baby number 2 but it needs a dip as it's been off my finger for so long. I normally get it done near my work but don't fancy the trek in on mat leave. Xxx
  4. Renata could I pm you my address pls and you let me know the same info re state schools pls? Thanks
  5. Totally agree with all of the above, she is a miracle worker!
  6. She tweaked a lot of what I was currently doing including day schedule and technique for helping him to self settle. I was the same and wondered what else I could be doing but within a day of doing it I could see very clearly where I had been making errors. She says temperatures and teething are definitely reasons that things would temporarily change but it should go back to normal once those things resolve. It is such an amazing result in such a short time if I'm honest I can hardly believe it myself! X
  7. Well unbelievably he slept through last night!!! I know it's early days and I'm sure more work to be done but we are gobsmacked. If someone had of told me this time last week I would have had a full night of sleep I would have laughed! X
  8. Well so far so bloody amazing!! After 3 days of his day time routine being changed and 2 nights of training (last night being the 2nd) baby Strawbs only woke up once last night!!! Took me a while to get him back off but we have gone from hourly wake ups to 1 in 2 nights, absolutely extraordinary!! It's early days I know but I am seriously hoping by this time next week he will be sleeping through. For anyone in my position who was about to form out ?1000 on a night nanny give Nicola at child sleep solutions a call first, you just never know!! I feel exhausted today even though he slept so much we I think I slept so lightly expecting him to wake and for the battle to commence but I defo think I'll be more at ease tonight! X
  9. I called eastern delight the other night to order myself a number 41 with pork (a yummy noodle soup) and I am sure it was the guy that used to work at yee wah answering the phone. I asked my OH to ask him what happened when picking up the food but alas she didn't. Next time I order I shall if he answers. My hunt still continues. I may try mr lui.
  10. Jules night nanny - that is her cost for a face to face consultation, a detailed plan you implement yourself and give weeks of support. After a diabolical night of him waking every 20-30 minutes I am desperate to hear what she says. X
  11. I spoke to a night nanny today who was ?250 a night and said it would need a minimum 4 nights for progress. On mat leave we have decided to go with Nicola at child sleep solutions as she can come tomorrow for ?225 and people seem to rave about her. I am desperate for this to work so hopefully her 99% success rate will apply to us too!! X
  12. Nunheadmum did you use a company? Did it cost the earth? I am defo happy to throw some money at the situation but am hoping it won't break the bank. Thanks! X
  13. Thanks both. Hs I've pmd you for the details. Toddler Strawbs didn't sleep for 2 years and I am desperate to not go through it again. I want to enjoy my babies but find it so difficult to have the patience needed when I am dragging myself around day after day. X
  14. Baby Strawbs is 6m old and we are deep in sleep training, a recent illness has put us back to square one with him waking constantly in the night and if I leave him to cry he will cry for 2-3 hours at a time. If I feed him he will only take 1-2 oz so he's not hungry. We are literally on our knees and taking it in turns but the crying wakes the whole house sometimes and then I have toddler Strawbs to contend with. I've heard good things about Nicola at child sleep solutions but do wonder what else I could be doing. I am tempted to bankrupt myself and get a night nanny in to crack the problem but is that actually what they do or do they just give you a break? I am guessing it's about ?1000 a week? It's a hefty price to pay! My partner is off to Canada in two weeks and then me to oz and I am terrified at the thought of doing it on my own with no back up. Does anyone have any experiences that they can share please and if they think it's worth getting a night nanny in? Thanks Xxx
  15. It's not close by but there is a dog beach at broad stairs
  16. Watching with interest as we are headed there this weekend for the first time. We have prebooked activities for toddler Strawbs and arranged for a bed guard for him and a good hamper so we have the basics oh and early check in too so we aren't queuing with everyone else with two small children in the car x
  17. Queenie she looks great. You wouldn't know she has it and not plastic at all.
  18. No it's where my hairdresser goes for Botox, my dentist is the townley road which is shut for renovations at the mo x
  19. There's one in forest hill my hairdresser uses, I'll get the details and let you know x
  20. I'd get him checked for silent reflux, my second has silent and I've been told it's worse than non silent. If you don't get on at DMc then switch to the gardens ASAP and see dr tran, she is brilliant with reflux babies but is leaving in nov for 6m so don't leave it too long. Are his hiccups wet? Use infacol as much as you can including on his dummy. Dummies help reflux babies as the saliva produced helps with the acid. Again I can only speak from the experience of my own two but if it is reflux then it can be sorted. X
  21. First of all I really feel for you and second of all go with your gut instinct when it comes to your children. I have two children and the first one cried because of Reflux and a dairy allergy which was quickly sorted with putting him on meds and prescription milk then it was just standard colic where he screamed from 4-8 daily, the second also suffers from reflux and allergis and once medicated his screaming went ballistic and he screamed around the clock unless eating or sleeping for 11 weeks and I am not ashamed to say pushed me down the pnd road. I figured out it was one of the medications that the gp had been increasing the more he screamed so I went with my gut and stopped it and he hasn't screamed since. Keep taking him back to th docs (change to a diff surgery if need be - the gardens are fantastic with reflux babies), hire some mothers help or pull in family if you have any - I had someone come daily at 5pm to just hold the baby and jiggle him to sleep to give me and toddler Strawbs a break and as convex says there is nothing in the first three months that can't be undone so literally just do what you can to survive. Slings normally help, I have an ergo carrier if you want to borrow it and give it a try, I carried baby Strawbs for 12 hours a day for those 11 weeks and it was great and my back survived (just!). I'm not suggesting it's reflux or an allergy as I'm not a doc but I've had experience with both with two kids no so thought I'd put it out there. If you need any help do shout as I've been there and it's bloody awful and I really do know how you feel. X
  22. Hiveson - how long did it take for that to work? We are considering getting someone in. Thanks! X
  23. Shredded beef was one of the ones I ordered, it was ok but not great. The search continues! X
  24. Still looking! Food was nice but no yee wah. I may try Eastern delight next time on ed road.
