  1. That looks pretty good. Quite long rest times though until week 5 when it all ramps up a bit!
  2. Hi, I'm so sorry he is still struggling. Are you seeing a specialist still from the reflux? Cold you ask to be referred to a childrens dietician via your gp?
  3. Can we make it later, say 745? Baby goes down by 730 here and then I would need to run up the hill. Tuesday looks good? I will only be here for one and then I'm off for a while but hopefully you guys will still be going when I get back! I've got a running book somewhere with a 6 week plan in it will try and dig it out.
  4. Kids are so quick as well. Sometimes you have to take your eyes off them for a second eg if you have another child who falls over or whatever and they are incredibly good at taking those opportunities. Mine can get the keys off the laptop keyboard, it goes straight in his mouth. Weird, as I tried and I can't get them off. So I now know to keep it closed but I would never have guessed he would have been able to do that.... Hence the incident in the first place. Luckily I saw him put something in his mouth out of the corner of my eye but could easily have been a choking incident. I'm rambling, but basically I agree with Ruth. And the phrase judgey pants makes me laugh.
  5. Yes I'm sure I read that in one case, the kids got into the shopping that had just been delivered and not put away yet. Our stuff is all up high but that's coincidence as we've always kept it there. It's a good reminder to finish the child proofing, as we still haven't put locks on cupboard doors!!!
  6. Mine goes through phases of this. I call it the crazy time.
  7. Yup, you can order the safety belt free of charge. My baby could get out of his bumbo from day 1, I sat and watched how he did it, was amazed that he could manage it. I personally don't think they are inherently unsafe but the belt is a very good idea for the babies who can get out. I def thought he would be a captive in there! I ended up getting a second activity station so he could be captive in that instead.
  8. I'd be interested too, I wantto keep running but it's hard after dark to get motivated and also to feel safe!
  9. Someone pooed in our front garden, disgusting, whether dog or man we don't know...
  10. Tippitoes is really good.
  11. You can call seldoc for advice after hours. I found them very reassuring when I called.
  12. You aren't rubbish! A whole months bf is a great job. We use hipp organic but it does contain dairy. I'm sure someone with more experience of reflux will be along soon but I didn't want to leave your post unanswered. The early days with a baby are hard and you are doing a great job I am sure.
  13. I had no idea you could get 1ltr of ready made! Justget whatever suits you. I don't find powder too much of a faff now I'm used to it and I have the kit that I am used to (dispenser, thermos, etc etc) so i doubt there is that much difference to the methods once you are used to it. Ready made is probably easier overnights though.
  14. Do you mean after the birthh.... If so you won't be emptying it! According to my husband it was really gross but doable. My midwives offered to do it but we had to go to the hospital for stitches and so it was all a bit of a rush. If you mean before the birth I think treat like a swimming pool and don't leave filled up, I think a 2 year old could probably get into it if they were trying really hard.
  15. Went today, all fine, no probs with any baby liquids under a litre including sterilised water. You can get away without ear defenders at the main stadium but if you can get hold of a pair i think worth taking.
  16. Well said ms f. Yes do test it, for reasons above and also to check your hot water tank can manage it! I had a relatively fast birth and we still got it up in time, just get your other half to start inflating it as soon as you think you are definitely in labour. One tip I was given was to fill the cold water first and then you only have to put the hot in once you are ready to get in. My tip would be to have your kit ready and accessiblenieinplain view, eg your towels, buckets, dressing gown etc as you don't want anyone asking you where stuff is when you are concentrating.
  17. Thanks. Another question, it says no liquids are allowed? I need to take hot water to make up formula for the night feed do you think they will let me through with that? I could take some ready made but that's over 100ml too... I feel like I'm going on a plane.
  18. Cheers c7. In that case... Of anyone has a pair they could loan then I'd love to borrow them. Otherwise I think it's jacket round the head!
  19. I think this is one for the sling library! She has 2 kids I think so will know the ins and outs I'm sure. Google southlondon sling library.
  20. Thanks,will popin there tomorrow!
  21. My son is crawling and cruising but not standing without support or walking. Normally I leave him barefoot but we are going on holiday somewhere I dont want him to be barefoot (insects, unfamiliar bugs, etc) What sort of shoes do I need? Pram shoes? Proper shoes? Argh.
  22. I have vitiligo. I was referred to kings they have a very good dept there. It took a long time for the referral though and from what I know of vitiligo the sooner you treat it the better chance you have of the pigment coming back, so if you can afford to I would go private.
