  1. We bought a bag for ours, a sunshine kids one. Check with the airline but it didn't count as sort of our weight allowance.
  2. Enjoy it! If you can't be sentimental on an engagement then when can you.
  3. The other option is the baby jogger versa - can keep parent facing for longer if that's what you want...
  4. It's normally half a bottle per person x
  5. Pickle, I have to say it took me ages to stop missing shop bought bread. But it doesn't taste nice to me now (unless its the posh stuff) I am also just starting to make my own without the bread maker - early days but even nicer than bread maker bread, we will still use the bread maker for everyday bread though.
  6. Definitely worth the money. Get one which adds the raisins for you.
  7. I have an ergo and love it but I tried on a manduca and I have to say it was incredibly comfortable, I'm sure one of their designs has a zip extender too for taller babies, unless I'm mis remembering, Best to hire one and try it for a couple of weeks to be sure. The sling library is brilliant for this.
  8. my son is just really starting to walk now, he is just on 16 months. he is a really fast crawler and i just think walking is not a priority for him. he walks a bit more at nursery than he does at home.
  9. Update: took 4 coats but it looks really great and works perfectly as a chalkboard but doesn't look like one. Result!
  10. I really recommend trying to borrow or hire an ergo baby type sling. We went travelling for 2 months when my son was 10months and it was an absolute godsend. Very comfortable and he was able to nap in it (he just got so tired he had to!) We also bought a phil and teds wriggle wrapper which can attach to a chair, so if no hgh chair it's no problem, you can put them I'm a chair or even strap them in on your lap. (Our baby is a climber and won't stay in High hair unless strapped in)
  11. You can also request a nicer tasting antibiotic mix, maybe call the doctor
  12. I think it depends on how you suck your thumb I stopped at 11 and my teeth are fine, slight overbite My cousin was similar and he had terribly stuck out teeth and years of braces etc I agree with getting the second opinion, but for what its worth I don't think it's cruel to get her to stop as long as she has some other way of self soothing which I'm sure you will help her with. Stop and grow didn't work for me, I basically stopped when I felt it was time, not very helpful for a little one, sorry
  13. Oak tree will shortly be full on some days, but if you aren't stuck on particular days they still have space. I would call them soon though as they see to be filling up now there is an up and running baby room to see in action.
  14. I think measuring your waist is a good indication of fat loss when you aren't losing weight - might be worth doing a quick measurement? If you ar pe feeling motivated do your waist, hips, bust, thighs and upper arm.
  15. I know someone who goes there and they are very happy. I think you have to go and make up your own mind. Oak tree is great though!
  16. Congratulations! There will be a bumps club on here, have a look around the 3 months mark.
  17. A friend had pain like you describe which improved after a chiropractor treated her for back problems. Her migraines also lessened. That is not only anecdotal but secondhand so may be totally irrelevant!
  18. Yes, we got some paint. Will report back once its done! Suspect it will take a few weeks unless I blag a daytime babysitter!
  19. Who is the troll? Not me I hope. I reckon I have cracked the fast days. 1 alpen bar, 1 pot skinny soup shared for lunch/dinner, and I feel fine. Empty but not hungry. Also need to drink large glass of water first thing and then keep sipping. And black coffee in morning, and then tea. Have spare cals for berries later. Yum!
  20. Right I really need to organise this then! Lets do the night out first. Would interested parties please pm me your email addresses, I will go back and find old ones but pm them again if you have a sec. Then will start a round robin email for dates etc. This is for kiwi families, that has a fairly broad definition, so if your kids are half kiwi, yes you count! (Based on previous questions!) Looking forward to hearing from you.
  21. I haven't organised the next meet which I apologise for... Life got away with me. Tanks for linking to that ejth - I didn't know about it. I would be keen to go to this, anyone else?
  22. I'm with SG on this one I eat healthily but I put on weight if I even look at a bit of cake So if this 5:2 works then I can eat cake in moderation and still maintain a healthy weight. I don't think I can do not eating all day - I spread my calories out. I might try it though.
  23. I'm originally from the bay of plenty and its a good place to live if you are outdoorsy. More beach/fishing/diving than skiing though. I have a friend who is a cop in NZ (Auckland) I could always ask if I could put you in touch with him if you like. He is not a kiwi so might be a good contact for your q's!
  24. Size and location, sure. Not materials though... Chalkboard is chalkboard surely! Ours will be approx 2m in height by 1.2m wide. I wanted that part of the kitchen to be deliberately different to the rest as it is being added a few years later and we can't match the cabinets exactly. And I'm bored of white.
