The council should allocate one car space per property. Where I live I get large vans parked outside sometimes for days. One supermarket owner hogs a space by getting a workmate to drive a second car into the space whenever it's vacated for a while.

Some people aren't as obsessively house proud as others.

Don't think you're allowed to shoot them now and the local council won't do anything about them because it says that the animals recover their numbers pretty quickly after culling. There was a vixen with three cute cubs in our next door neighbour's garden shed a couple years ago.

A group of us family and friends ate there a couple years ago and found it just as you've described - disgusting. It was added to our must-avoid list of local so-called restaurants. A recent fresh addition to the list is Piaf in the Village after a farcical Christmas Day experience and probably the worst meal I've ever been served. They didn't charge me for it but I would have preferred a nice dinner!

I didn't do no grammar at school and always got my quadrilaterals confused with my irregular comparatives.

Eating and drinking outlets seem to be the ones making most profit and the places you've listed are just hobby shops I'd guess.

I just bought a small Christmas tree in Lordship Lane and it cost ?25. I checked up and down from the Plough to Goose Green and they were all starting at that price. Up to last year I could usually pick one up for ?10-?15. I guess it's all the prosperous young professionals now in the locality that's caused the upsurge!

Fortunately the recycle men wouldn't have emptied as the contents weren't garden waste. How will you explain the mulchy smell on the kids prezzies?
