  1. Waitrose back in the pipeline. Louisa.
  2. I've had 17 PMs this year, most of them from rude trolls poking my fire. Needless to say I didn't reply to one! Louisa.
  3. Well I personally think it's absurd helping out older kids. You bring them into the world and do the parental duty of taking care of them for at least 25 years usually in one way or another, there surely has to come a time that the offspring grows the hell up and stops leeching off mum/dad or both! I wouldn't have dreamt asking my parents for things when I was younger and I certainly wouldn't have accepted any offers of financial help. It's a selfish expectation of any offspring to take it for granted there parents will bank role them at any opportunity and it's even more selfish of the parent to encourage such behaviour. Louisa.
  4. All this vulgar talk is making me wanna strip and run around the garden. Louisa.
  5. Aka Clapham *Bob*. sjw for goodness sakes chill out! You started the thread and I just gave you some honest and free advice/feedback to guide you in the right direction in future (if your daughter unfortunately drops the phone in a toilet again). It seems a shame that in 2015 we are treating people like kids who in my day were fully fledged responsible adults often married with kids and a mortgage to worry about. Seems bizarre. Louisa.
  6. sjw is the phrase "let them stand on their own two feet" lost on you? When I was growing up if I couldn't afford something I'd have to wait, save up and then buy it. By the age of 34 Id have frankly been embarrassed even being offered a free phone handout let alone accept the offer! Louisa.
  7. Helping a 34 year old buy a phone? What has this world come to? I also assumed you were talking about a young child, in which case I would agree it's a bit extravagant, but seriously 34? Tut tut. Louisa.
  8. Oh RPC I didn't realise you lived in the village, all is forgiven! I love the village so much. Always been a dream of mine to afford to live there. Even as a child it fascinated me! Well comparing anywhere in most of SE London to the village is a stretch. It's unquestionably unique, full of character and just beautiful in every way. Louisa.
  9. Salsaboy you seem fascinated by my commando exploits in the garden! No chance of me doing it in February, although one may be tempted if asked nicely by *Bob*. Louisa.
  10. Well nice to me is lots of period properties giving character to an area, nice clean streets, a few decent boozers, a handy supermarket. Forest Hill has everything ED has but without the ponce and ceremony if that makes sense? Louisa.

    Hipsters

Can we stop giving hipsters all this publicity please? The shaggy irony of looking like a tramp and drinking a cocktail out of a jam jar is lost on everyone other than Guardian readers who hope their area of London is next to be "hipsterfied" so that property prices increase. Louisa.
  12. RPC what's weong with Forest Hill? It's one of the nicest parts of South London. Louisa.
  13. Residents not residence! Sorry but that had to be corrected. Louisa.
  14. Salsaboy it can be arranged come mid-June. I love going commando in the back garden, brings out a lovely tan. Louisa.

Yawnnnnnnnnnn. I'm with Jah. Being a mum anywhere is hard work, being a mum in Dulwich is no different, and if anything, more tedious. I'd rather hear from a mum living on an estate in Peckham tbh. Louisa.
  16. Sat in the garden in a jumper, wondering why my hair is taking so long to dry after washing it over an hour ago.. Louisa.
  17. Maybe I should turn the heating down? I'm walking around the house in a pair of bright pink Ray Bans currently with a big hat on. I need to book a holiday. Louisa.
  18. The sun is shining, the daffodils are popping up and it feels like spring is firmly in the air. I'm in such a good mood today, let's all share happy thought on this thread please! I'm tempted to crack open the Pinot Grigio blush I have in the fridge or is it too early for such a summer wine? Thoughts please.. Louisa.
  19. I'm not personally offended, but as pointed out above, it's just another symptom of Labour's pretty nasty pre-election flu which they're just struggling to shift. It's one gaff after another, and it sums up why the two main parties are even stevens in the polls. Louisa.
  20. Or if you were a non-voter and a religious minority, would a bus covered in Christian, Islamic, Jewish symbolism encourage you to vote for them? It's just barrel scraping. Louisa.
  21. The current Labour shadow cabinet is a complete shower. They are becoming more desperate as each week passes in this election campaign. I've been shaking my head at each gaff made by Miliband and crew, in what should be an open goal election for them to win. They are the football equivalent of England Vs Germany in a penalty shoot out. They've been 4 - 0 up for most of the match, they then lost their bottle in final third allowing the opposition to equalise by full time and then will be probably be hammered in the shoot out. It's embarrasing. This coalition has been totally useless and the junior partners votes should have been a clean sweep for Labour, but no, the greens have swept those votes up. Louisa.
  22. I was reliably informed the Dulwich Foxtons site was a close bidding war with Nandos. Just think, we could have had chicken and chips instead of b@llshit and hair gel by now. Louisa.
  23. I agree the age of cuts makes public convenience drop down the council wish list for the area. However, the old disused loos on Peckham Rye are now back in action and well maintained clean tidy and there's even soap for washing hands after. Those are the nearest public loos in a place where let's face it, most of the year they are hardly needed. Louisa.
  24. I personally think if the suspect liquid filled bottles are indeed pi$$, then this only supports my theory about the demise of the Victorian lavatory. It wasn't that many years ago GG playground had public toilets, now gone. If I am caught short along LL where do I go? I think the time has come for more public toilets, it's the only way we can solve the bottle pi$$ problem. Louisa.
  25. It can't be related to workmen as they usually have mobile toilets. I noticed two bottles of orange liquid around Christmas time on the corner of Crystal Palace/Ed road. It was peculiar. Louisa.
