  1. What with the planned re-development at Peckham Rye, what's happened at Denmark Hill and now this to our beloved ED station, it seems there is some sort of agenda to forget our Victorian railway heritage and turn everything into modern boxed poorly built homogenisation. This would be a terrible tragedy. Louisa.
  2. Mr. Louisa is never forced to do anything, but he knows how much I play up when I've had to carry heavy stuff so he offers to help. I would never make anyone go shopping with me, but I would encourage them to come if it were in their best interest to do so. Mick Hucknall's older sister lookalike and I have had a very on/off relationship since she decided to take out brown wheelie bin for garden hedge cutting without informing us then sticking it back in MY front garden. B@&?#. Louisa.
  3. On the subject of busy-body types, I live near to probably the noisiest person in the world. She's always looking out her curtains judging me and Mr Louisa when we go shopping as a pair. I've given her the two finger salute more than once let me tell you. She oddly looks an older female version of Mick Hucknall. Louisa.
  4. Those beautiful buildings are indeed of local architectural merit and help retain the suburban feel to the area. To lose them to cram more residential and commercial space into this block would be a tragedy. Louisa.
  5. In other news a pig was seen flying across goose green singing in Spanish. Louisa.
  6. The quandary is, expensive site makes it unaffordable for most, and yet the size and space available isn't big enough for a major retailer (age old ED problem). So what happens? The co-op expands and pays over the odds for some storage space. Louisa.
  7. How about a tat gift shop? ED doesn't have enough of those yet. Louisa.
  8. SJ I would suggest that a person struggling for a space because the one taken space outside their home is occupied by another person residing in the same property, then this individual should either park as close to this space as is possible, or outside a building which is not for residential use. I give a good example, on my road there is a row of commercial properties just along from me and also a church, these spaces would fall into this zone of free for all. Jeremy I am being deadly serious, it is throughly disrespful to a person who's just popped to Sainsburys to get the weekly shop (as an example) to come home and be forced to park streets away and unable to off-load their shopping because a non-resident has stolen their space to pick the kids up from school, or to visit a friend, or because they need to pop to the shop around the corner. It's unacceptable. Louisa.
  9. I totally and fundamentally disagree. Just because it is on a public highway does not entitle everyone and their dog to hunt out spaces in residential areas. If there was common sense and decency involved we wouldn't need to go down the cash cow CPZ route for the councils, and people would abide by this convention as a matter of default. If the property is multi-occupancy or similar then the space(s) are indeed a free for all for people within that property and NO ONE ELSE. When I travel to see friends I usually park in a public car park or I park on a friends drive (if they have one). Louisa.
  10. StraferJack I personally believe it is common decency that a person shouldn't park outside someone's house - regardless of how desperate they are for the space. I drive almost everywhere, with the exception of around here because it is primarily residential and I walk so as not to inconvenience people. I've been at the wrong end of a selfish space stealer outside my own place many a time and I wouldn't want to do the same to someone else. A space is outside your house for good reason, it is technically your space (regardless of it being on a public road), and it should be public convention that this space is only occupied by the people (persons) who occupy the property in front of it. Louisa.
  11. McDonalds is what it is. Processed food. But I'd rather eat this stuff which confirms to all sorts of regulations than something processed from a back street take away that has a food hygiene rating of 0. Louisa.
  12. I agree first mate. That beautiful little row of rail workers cottages will be eclipsed by this monster construction. M&S are not interested in this site neither are Waitrose according to James Barber. Louisa.
  13. Morrisons have indeed backed out of this. No further store openings for foreseeable future. Louisa.
  14. Phobic I suggest you have a glance back at this seasons earlier episodes. Perez Hilton forced one of the housemates to leave the house due to constant attention seeking and vulgar behaviour. Katie Hopkins was rather refrained from communication with him until this particular event occurred which forced out one of the lowliest people in the house. Perez has been back stabbing and manipulative throughout the show and is clearly on a mission to use his attention seeking to win the entire thing. Hopkins has not once back stabbed anyone, she's been consistently true to what she thinks about people including Nadia Sawahla to her face. Louisa.
  15. Why is awful? Sweeping generalisation about a totally honest individual. Louisa.
  16. Aside from Saturday's Lordship Lane is simply NOT busy enough to justify Clapham style parking restrictions. Absolutely absurd idea. Any form of restriction will prove to be damaging to local business already struggling mid-week to attract large enough custom bases when you consider how far away from linked transport hubs our area is. Louisa.
  17. Ann Summer Warehouse. Farm Foods store. Brewers Fayre. Louisa.
  18. I had an argument with the MP for Exeter who's name escapes me when he was dancing around a pub in Devon and spilt my drink. Needless to say he bought me a replacement drink no questions asked. Louisa.
  19. Activity at the patch I noticed today. All the lights were on. Anyone know if it's reopening? Louisa.
  20. Fox you speak fluent Turkish? I've got limited Turkish from trips to Istanbul in the 70s/80s. When I say limited, it's exceptionally limited ha. KK I must have been in just before you then there were two guys in when I was there, you really wouldn't miss me, in fact youd probably see me in there and think I had issues with alcohol (always off my face when I'm in there). Louisa.
  21. You must have seen me I was in my fake fur coat and I had my hair up. All three guys were behind the counter and they always have banter with me when I attempt to ask for my kebab in Turkish (they all start laughing no idea why). Louisa.
  22. KK I've got one with chips from K&W!! Louisa.
  23. Damn right id spend ?6 on a kebab over a handful of pasta. 1) it's cooked for me and I can eat it straight away. 2) it's full of salt, fat, and carbs (to fill me up) as well as salad for the healthy bit. 3) it tastes bloody lovely as it is, especially after drinking all day. for me it's a no-brainer. Kebab wins every time. Louisa.
  24. Katie Hopkins from what I've seen says what she thinks to a persons face, whether you agree with that or not. Nadia Sawahla tells everyone she does that and get is consistently bitching about Hopkins behind her back on camera. If she has wanted to come across as some sort of loveable peace maker she's failed miserably, because I just see her as a nasty person who bitches about people but never to their face. Louisa.
  25. ernesto the Dulwich Estate may not be for the benefit of everyone, but they own lots of land locally including some historical sites such as the grove tavern which are of a wider community interest. Louisa.
