  1. I live just off of CPR, and I have absolutely no problem with this service at all. I completely hate this mentality of 'it's not our problem, put it somewhere else!'.. Everyone has a right to these facilities, and it isnt aimed solely at people with addiction problems. I think the posted petition is a typical scaremongering attempt to make local people feel unsafe. I would not consider signing it, and I find it offensive that it's even being raised as an issue!
  2. Procreation is part of life, it is also a choice. If a person wishes to dedicate a certain time toward new offspring then they should consider other people in the choices they make. Going into a cafe or restaurant during the day and allowing a child to make noise and run around is just not on. In my day it simply would not have happened. FREE TIME includes wishing to start a family. If it's hard work then tough, you brought it on yourself. Back on topic I think the above mentioned establishment does have negative aspects, but put aside from the child and parent issue they should be dealt with seperately.
  3. Did someone say something? hmmm :)
  4. Until a child is old enough to go to nursery, they should be kept at home with the parent, simple. Bloody annoying parents swomping a restaurant or cafe during the day is pure mental torture. The fact is the establishment do not sell baby food for a reason, and putting high chairs out is probably just some sort of 'done thing' to be seen to be caring and nice. Allow other folk to enjoy their free time. Kids should be not seen or heard in public (other than on a weekend perhaps). :)
  5. I have to agree, the time to save it is now long gone, the proposals sound ok to me actually, and as keef rightly says, it's better that than nothing at all. I dont think the new house will be built to the same high standard, but as long as it looks similar thats the best we can ask for.
  6. I saw a yummy proudly walking along with her pram and a foxtons bag attached to one of the handles today! I wondered what the deal was with that!
  7. 'Never the twain' was the antique dealers comedy
  8. Does the Peckham or DC market have a Duchy of Cornwall stall selling products from the cornish estate?
  9. Howards way - always brings back good memories of a sunday night. My brothers son always tell me that it reminded him that it was bedtime and school was next morning. It always makes me think of the 1980's for some reason. Good times. :)
  10. Will this new gym put the ED swimming baths gym out of action? Does it have an aerobics class?
  11. i've had fantasies about kiefer sutherland ;-)
  12. Thew only candidate for the new ED is Bermondsey. Very historic, on top of central London and the City. Close to some very dodgy areas like Peckham, Old Kent Road.. Lots of arty shops and coffee houses opening up.
  13. 1. Some of the lovliest people on earth 2. The suburban semi-rural feel to a place so central to the heart of London. 3. Reaonable transport links into and out of London. 4. A fairly low crime rate comparble to most other parts of inner London. 5. The wonderful hot climate! Louisa :) [edited once by The Administrator to remove inflammatory comment]
  14. Tillie - posting a lie is the easiest thing in the world to do. But i'm sure if Spangles has done that Admin will find out soon enough so no real issue really is it? The competition around here is crazy, I've had rough treatment from a certain agent very near Budgens and i've been weary for some time now. A member of my family was treated extremely harsh, but they soldiered on and sold up in the end. I just want to give Foxtons the benefit of the doubt until they are fully setup and the nasty stories come flooding in, as I expect them to.
  15. Paps - I've met some really cruel folk in my time, so trust me i'm a pussycat really. Asset - Get over it, if the cap fits wear it! ;-)
  16. I love my Kennedys sausages, I still go to the Camberwell Green branch as often as possible. Shame they arnt in ED. Oh well!
  17. LOL what a fabulous story. I've only ever had drinks in there, and that was when it was a traditional working class pub. I dont know if it still is?
  18. James go to Bellenden if you want a Vietnamese. As for Japanse, well... ermm... dunno..do it yourself, go to Moxons, Asset highly recommends it :)
  19. Let them eat cake Keef.
  20. I was impressed with the wholemeal slice of bread (without the butter and crusts) I got when I went.
  21. Mark One already has a store on Rye Lane less than a mile down the road, they will not be opening up on LL. Now, back to business, how about that Ann Summers I had been promised?
  22. I've been to the BBC on MaidaVale and the best part of the meal for me was the prawn cocktail to start! Says it all really :)
  23. I would love to go in a mini with an estate agent! :)
