  1. I've been to Chiswick on many ocassions and found the hospitality second to non. I bet I could leave my unspeakables on the line there without fear of some criminal crossdresser fingering my line at any hour of the day or night. Louisa.
  2. That is really depressing. What scumbags. I know the chap who runs this place and you couldnt meet a nicer guy. I hope they find the guilty and hang them up by the ballbags. Louisa.
  3. I personally cant wait to see Ann Summers open up shop there. From one allegedly dodgy place, to a legally dodgy place in the blink of a shopfitters eye. Marvellous. Louisa.
  4. When will people realise this is south east London and not Chiswick? Of course things will be stolen if they are left in the open. Ears.. Wet behind.. and all that. Louisa.
  5. It's so funny, when recession hits, and i've seen a few in ED, businesses just disappear and you end up with half the lane abandoned or waiting to be let for years on end. It's even more interesting now all these trendy little bars and quirky places are finding the ride tougher than expected, will the yummy brigade and wannabe claphamites finally be able to afford a propery in the SW postcode now that recession looms large and prices begin to fall? Not long to wait now my middle-class friends, get your bags packed and ready to go! Louisa.
  6. Zigfrid is supposed to be good, probably more suited for someone over thrity so you may love it (Hoxton Square). I personally think The Princess is a wonderful place and thats on Paul street. Louisa.
  7. I keep telling Mr Louisa to take his tablets and stay in his room. sorry lpool, it wont happen again. Louisa.
  8. I would like to think it closed down because reality kicked in and yummies started to realise spending 30 smackers on a cheap arse depressing bit of old material for a child who will grow out of it within a month or two, was not really a worthy cause for a score and two fivers. Louisa.
  9. It just shows you even the drug fuelled middle class student type can appreciate a rough and ready attempt at a boozer. I'm almost impressed, though the location and look seem a bit damby pamby. Louisa.
  10. More middle class: Siting outside an overpriced coffee shop talking rather loudly about their positive financial situation More working class: Not siting siting outside a cafe being choked to death by car fumes and staying inside to get a bargain.
  11. More middle class: getting ripped off in boutique style shops eating and drinking outside coffee shops and gastropubs wearing bizarre glasses and clothing accessories (eg manbag) Louisa.
  12. No, just curtains *Bob*, I know how obsessed the middle classes are with having just blinds or sometimes nothing at all in the windows so that the common folk can look in and admire the great interior design sense of someone who is intelligent, earning a considerably larger salary and often has a double barrel name. Louisa.
  13. Stop complaining, you people are the first to complain at aiports when your flight is delayed and yet you are quite happy to talk about noise pollution when it affects your back garden! What about the poor people living in small villages close to Heathrow and the the problems they face when us people in ED are jetting off to Rio for the summer! Louisa.
  14. Curtains Own brand supermarket items Egg and chips Loo roll holders
  15. I must have been busy watchingt grass grow at the time. Damn. Louisa.
  16. Good grief, we all want to be able to jump on a plane at the drop of a hat when it suits us, but when it's upsetting our home lives due to noise pollution it suddenly becomes a crime. We cant have it both ways you know! Louisa.
  17. Normal for ED - 1996 - Working class people going about their working class lives in a working class area of SE London. Normal for ED 2008 - Middle class people going about their middle class lives in a middle class area of SE London. Louisa.
  18. Starz is a ladies hairdresser 4hw, the East Dulwich Cafe is next door to that. It's just a normal down to earth cafe, average hearty basic food. I'd highly recommend the hairdressers too. Louisa.
  19. It's a perfect oppurtunity for yet another Estate Agent to open up!! Louisa.
  20. At last some good news! :) Louisa.
  21. Oh rob you do amuse. I am not quite a pensioner yet and i'm sure i've got more than enough energy to wrestle you to the ground and plead mercy ;-) You can stand up for me and my house any time you like big boy hehe Louisa.
  22. This is fabulous news, I do love Vietnamese food. The last time I tried it I was over in France and it was absolutely amazing (and it was not drowned in wine like the tasteless French food). I shall be entering your extablishment asap with Mr Louisa! :) Louisa.
  23. The other positive about Fenwick is that it is in close proximity to a working mans cafe, a good bus route and a small Tesco. It's pretty well served, the only issue you may have is being close to Rye Lane, I know I can smell it from where I live so god only knows what it's like down there now! Louisa.
  24. Sean I didnt intend to be a spokesperson, it is something that has been forced upon me because certain ignorant forumites make grossly unfair and often misleading comments (as PR has done in this case) which in turn lead me to defend myself and often others too. Why are we talking about this on a thread setup by a new ED person anyhow, I am trying to welcome her into the area and offer some advice and then PR comes along and makes assumptions about what I have already posted. Get a grip people! Louisa.
