  1. For sure, but from my experience, both as a freelancer and as a manager, most companies will honour a contractual notice period.
  2. I think I bought one of your paintings.
  3. Are you having an aneurysm?
  4. PGC - I'll join you - perhaps we could make it ceremonial in some way
  5. The stall does sell other stuff, not just wonderbras (off the top of my head I remember Freya, but couldn't tell you other brands). Not all wonderbras are as you describe SS - most are the normal shape (ooh, except a new one I saw in there that can be worn 100 ways) - the x shape is to allow them to be worn with racer back t-shirts etc with less slutty bra strap on show. Basically they're cut to create cleavage - if you already have a decent cleavage, the result can be a little Moll Flanders, but they've given a whole generation of small and lovely breasted women a little more oomph. No bad thing.
  6. Churlish boys, churlish. Ray, without a doubt, smells of Acqua di Parma, whisky and chips. Having once dated a young man who lived above a chippy, believe me when I tell you that it can be quite the aphrodisiac.
  7. nico1 - I am very excited about this, and did remember (unlike Gimme) that it's women's clothes. Hurrah - have shuftied at and joined facebook page and I want me one of those wolf t-shirts
  8. As above, check the contract, and if you don't have one, learn the lesson for next time. Same thing happened to me just before Christmas - I was working for a company I knew, it was all terribly amicable so I wasn't too fussed about not having it in writing. Until they ended my contract with one day's notice a month before it was due and right at the beginning of December when no one was hiring - an impecunious Christmas was the result. To be fair to them, they ended all freelancers contracts that week and made 10 redundancies the next, so they weren't just being flighty, but still, it pays to protect yourself.
  9. First the Ask not... thread, now this? My god you two, get a room.
  10. The idea of being huged by Ray Winstone is quite delicious (and not a little breathtaking) for sure...
  11. Well KK, it seems that in your post you asked 5 questions: I only read one of them as rhetorical, so that would suggest that you did want to discuss things further (or at the very least, that you were expecting some kind of response to 4 questions). Perhaps James thought that it would be helpful to do it via PM rather than publicly as you had asked the question. Why did you feel the need to post the PM on the forum? Don't really understand what you're complaining about here...
  12. Wear a hat (but make sure it is firmly secured)
  13. well yes, a stupid person - it made more sense as it was written than it would with your suggested typo as for you and the tennis - with Serena playing, I would have put money on "beat" being the appropriate verb...
  14. what's aggressive? and why would you assume a typo? typical patriarchal tabloid reader
  15. it's "bleeding or something" meh
  16. Damn those women, with their jobs and their votes and their poor hand-eye coordination. Now if only they'd come up with a European final for cakes or bleeding or something.
  17. He's not dead. He's just locked in my wardrobe.

  19. Getting pissed and sentimental In the Flesh
  20. I did similar. 6 months after moving out of a flat, we hadn't received our deposit, apparently because the landlord lived in the States and they "couldn't get hold of him". Additionally, our property manager seemed often to be out of the office when I called and never responded to an email. Ultimately I threatened them with small claims, combined with a concerted PR effort to let all media and social media know what an utter bunch of c@nts they were, and an appeal to their regulatory body (sorry, can't remember off the top of my head what it's called but I found it through an online search and they are supposed to regulate this kind of thing quite tightly - I quoted at least two regulations that they were in breach of). I copied in the CEO of the company as well as my property manager's boss and within a week I had a cheque for the full deposit. It took a ridiculously long time, but had I thought of all / any these things at the outset, it would have taken considerably less than 6 months. Good luck - I sympathise massively, I know how time consuming and hopeless it can seem, but I think that if you can show them that you know what you're talking about, they may suddenly remember that they might be able to help after all.
  21. Chicks DO dig 'em - I'm very excited about the potential beard display this evening
  22. I too am more a last orders tonight - although if last orders is at 1am, I should be there plenty aforehand - half tennish I reckon
  23. I think I love you. Thank you thank you thank you.
  24. It's in your hand
  25. What does anyone reckon is a good website for working out distances to places. Different sites give different answers, and I need reliable. I know this should go in Wanted, but tis urgent and I'm hoping I can get it in past Admin's radar for long enough to get an answer. And then I will buy Admin a box of Black Magic by way of thanks.
